Summary

For the last 10 years, Benji and Diego have not only been members of Star Shadow, one of the biggest boy bands in the world, but best friends. During the years of fame and fortune they've also held a front row seat to the callous cruelty of the music industry. As much as they've both wanted more from their relationship, it never felt worth it to trade what they have for something hot, heady and completely impossible.

But is it really?

After welcoming back their long lost member and making it through their reunion tour with a new lease on fame, life suddenly seems too short to continue settling for safety.

Benji and Diego could have everything they've ever wanted, but can they figure out how to choose each other? Despite every impossible thing the world intends to throw at them?

It's never the end...it's only the beginning.

Contains mature themes.

not great

I enjoyed the first book in this series where Caleb and Leo got a hard earned hea. In this second book we have Diego and Benji's relationship under the microscope. It didn't take long to get really annoying. The author gives these men far too much unnecessary angst. They overthink everything, and even after being best friends for ten years, seem not to know basic things about each other, like that one likes to cook. There's a lot of repetition of the backstory we learned in book 1 that just seems to be cut and pasted. And the author doesn't seem to like her characters having sex because she constantly cockblocks throughout the book... even worse than what was done in Caleb and Leo's story. I honestly don't understand why, after both Diego and Benji had fake marriages then divorced that the author thought another fake relationship with a supermodel was a good story arc. It was super annoying and I'm disappointed.

Good narration and interesting characters

Liked the narration and the two main characters. I felt the story kept going over the same ground. Personally I struggle with Calebs character who us one of those "tell instead of show" characters in that we are told how lovely and kind he is but what the author actually shows us is him being a bit dull and bitchy. I know he is more of a side character in this book but Diego doing insta forgiveness to Caleb just feels false.
