Summary
This workshop explores how abuse and neglect impact the typical development of children. Specific solutions are offered for foster and adoptive parents to enable them to care for children who have been affected by poor or abusive early environments. This is an excellent introduction for prospective or new foster and adoptive parents and professionals. Accompanying handouts are available on http://nysccc.org/conference/conference-archives.

Interesting and useful
I took some ideas from this. It's useful. Annoying bits are the fact that there is 10 minutes of crowd mumbling that could be cut.

Amusing & Educative
This was a training session for adopters & Foster carers. It helped me to focus on why abused/neglected children behave the way they do which I found useful & informative. It could have been improved by some editing but apart from that it was helpful.

An important and easily understood lecture!
Gives you a lot to think about. I'm becoming a foster carer and thought it was great.
