a solid sequel

I thought the first book in this series was just okay and I think this second installment is marginally better. It is much more into the story, there's much more action happening, it's generally fast-paced and more enjoyable. It does less world building and more just getting on with it. I do not find this whole series anything extraordinary but it is entertaining.
