About this listen
The one obituary you never want to read - is your own.
Laura Swallow is dead. A life cut tragically short, says the newspaper obituary. But that's a lie.
Estate agent Laura did not die in a car accident. She is alive and well. At first, Laura thinks it's a sick joke. But multiple announcements of her death are followed by increasingly sinister real-life events.
Already fragile, struggling to recover from a recent divorce, Laura is plunged into a living nightmare. Who can she trust? Her new lover? Her clients and work colleagues? What about her ex-husband and his smug fiancee? Can Laura even rely on her best friends?
And why is it that Laura's present troubles are so tied up with her sister's sudden death all those years ago? But one thing Laura is sure of - someone out there wants her to suffer. Wants her gone.
Forever.

By the end, I wanted to kill Laura myself🤭
Okay, so it’s very clear who the psycho is from the very beginning of the story the author never comes right out and tells you until the very end but you’d have to be Helen Keller or Stevie Wonder not to see that Anna has some deep issues. I think the only person who was fooled is Laura and her inability to see what is right in front of her is really annoying.
I think it’s interesting about the author is telling a story that could be interesting, but not all of our protagonist are beautiful, slim and highly desirable women, but Laura is really annoying.
Overall, this is just an OK listen, I fast forwarded past a lot of parts, Just because I was tired of Laura moaning. It could’ve been a really good story but it did keep me busted. I don’t know maybe I was desperate for a long audiobook to really sync my teeth in so I kept persevering with this one. I wouldn’t not recommended after all, it is in the plus category.

Great fun. Perfect distraction. Kept me engaged.
Reminded me of good old fashioned Bunny Boiler 80s thriller. Silly at times but hugely entertaining.

A must listen too.
I throughly enjoyed this book. Had lots of twists and turns and kept me guessing until near the end. The narrator was good at accents but other times sounded robotic and I had to also slow the speed down. Otherwise a really enjoyable listen.

Much better than some of the reviews on here.
Whilst the perpetrator was quite predictable, the end was exciting. Not a bad listen at all.

Wanting to know more
This story takes a great twist and turn. Keeps you gripped wondering and not wanting to put down until you know more and even then you need to know more.
Great read. Now to read more of yours

Thankfully, it was "included"
Predictable!
It wasn't a "Who Dunnit" it was an obvious "You Dunnit"
The author made Laura so ridiculously gormless that the storyline was able to roll from mishap to mishap!

Abysmal end. Went from a thriller to a comedy.
..I really enjoyed the narrator until the story became ridiculous, then even she could do nothing with it.

Twist
Overall, it was a good story. The narrator was good, but sometimes the story dragged on a little bit. The ending was slightly predictable
