About this listen
Maddy Wainright has given up on marriage - and men. After dating way too many losers who aren't capable of appreciating her for who she is, she's about ready to resign herself to a life of spinsterhood. Until her insanely rich boss, Daniel Thorne, comes along with an offer she simply can't refuse. He proposes a marriage of convenience - one that would allow Maddy to live in the lap of luxury for a year and Mr. Thorne to stay in the country that has become his home. At the end of their arrangement, Maddy will walk away with a cool two million dollars. All she has to do is move into his penthouse, put on a convincing show in public, and endure a few INS interviews, for which she will be thoroughly prepped. It's a big risk, but one Maddy might just be willing to take, considering the payoff.
At first, it's all business. But when the gentle touches, passionate kisses, and lingering looks they have to give each other in public start spilling over into their private life, Daniel and his devious mind take Maddy to heights of pleasure she's never experienced. And the more she gets to know him, the more she feels that wistful tug in her chest every time he puts his arm around her in public. Before long, she finds herself wishing it were real. As time goes on, Maddy finds herself wondering if two million dollars will be enough to cover the cost of repairing a broken heart. But Mr. Thorne may have yet another secret in store....

It had so much potential
It had so much potential but fell flat. Sigh.... I'm actually disappointed. Atleast it was free.

Ok but a bit underdeveloped
A sweet story but lacking som in plot development. There are some really big surprises that are totally out of the left field and their relationship to each other and their families could also have been more interesting and elaborated on. Good narration though.

Female lead was too negative
I usually like these kind of books but the female lead character wasn't likeable. It felt like one big whingefest by her and was frustrating that in every situation the negative exposition made it unbelievable she wasn't caught out from the start. It needed more humour and a warmer lead character. I felt sorry for the poor guy.

Not your typical love story
I really enjoyed this book, about the employee and her Billionaire, especially with the HEA

Excellent writing as usual
Would you consider the audio edition of I Married a Billionaire to be better than the print version?
The narrator was a little breathy like she had a cold but once you get used to that the story itself was good.
It did cause me a little stress closer to the end, but soon got back to where I needed it to be.
Would recommend and worth a second listen to as well.
What was one of the most memorable moments of I Married a Billionaire?
The interview and the anticipation of the wait

Her tone
Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Great story line excellent narrator
I was pleasantly surprised from this book. It was not boring nor was it dragging on.
The narrator did an excellent job and got me emotional sometimes. It brought this story to life.

Predictable
I know these books are of a similar format, but this was just uninteresting.
Narration was boring and melodic.
Melanie Marchande is normally a good story teller but missed the mark on this one.
