Summary
Keifer Vassago, the Prince of Dragons, has enough on his plate without adding a brunette with a bad attitude to the mix.
Fate has a way of screwing all his plans, though, whether he wants them screwed or not. One second he's fetching his brother from yet another situation that could possibly compromise the Vassago name, and the next that brunette is grabbing his assets.
Blythe isn't after anyone's assets, though. She's a good girl. All she wants is to graduate from nursing school, get a job, and move out of her hell-hole apartment. What she does not have time to deal with is a sexy bearded man that accuses her of grabbing his junk.
She tries to forget about the encounter, but fate's a cruel bitch.
One second she's a normal college student barely living paycheck to paycheck, and the next she's setting her panties on fire with powers from an ancient immortal dragon. To add insult to injury, she's hearing voices, and none of them are figments of her imagination. Blythe's life is turned upside down, and Keifer forces her to adapt even though she doesn't want to. She likes her life just the way it is.
Not to mention that she wants nothing to do with that arrogant asshole. She doesn't care that he rides a dragon. She also could care less about his stupid beard, and his sexy eyes.
Yeah, who was she kidding? She wasn't convincing anybody.
Contains mature themes.

I liked the big Dragons too
I decided to listen to this on a whim assuming it was a Monster Romance based on title alone.
My bad.
There are indeed dragons in this book, bikini scorching magic and bed sheet scorching chemistry between the MCs. But neither of the MCs are an ACTUAL dragon. Not that this was a deal breaker.
The fated mate MCs are great with each other, both headstrong, as is to be expected. I really enjoyed it and I'll likely read the remaining books in the series in time. But they will find themselves somewhere in the middle of my TBR because there are a few thing I desperately want to read and this was just really good.

Didn’t connect
I’m not sure exactly why I didn’t really connect well to the relationship as usually it helps having the dual monologue so you get both sides but the characters were very one dimensional and their story didn’t make sense in places.
Both really headstrong but some things he did she was angry about and then just not… both so in love but neither showed any sign of it. I feel like the relationship needed more time but the next book is a different couple.
Won’t be continuing the series

A Good Paranormal Romance.
Lani Lynn Vale is a new-to-me author, and the narrators Mason Lloyd and Kendall Taylor are also new-to-me.
This story definitely had its moments when I was completely engrossed.
It was good, as were the dual narrators.
I'm not sure what it was exactly--the plot, pacing, flow--it just didn't keep me hooked long enough to earn more stars.

It could have been good
So much story and development was missing from this book. Really rushed and the story jumps forward (ok I get they didn’t want it to drag) but it ends up meaning you don’t feel emotionally connected. Had a lot of potential and the makings of a great book, but missed the mark.
Also, I’m not normally that bothered by male/female roles in books, but even I got annoyed by the engrained sexism, virginial female, magic d**k hero. Bore off!
