About this listen
From the number one bestselling author, Peter James, comes I Follow You, a nerve-shredding standalone thriller.
To the outside world, suave, charming and confident doctor Marcus Valentine has it all. A loving wife, three kids, a great job. But there’s something missing, there always has been. . . . or rather, someone . . .
Driving to work one morning, his mind elsewhere and not on the road, he almost mows down a female jogger on a crossing. As she runs on, Marcus is transfixed. Infatuated. She is the spitting image of a girl he was crazy about in his teens. A girl he has never been able to get out of his mind.
Lynette had dumped him harshly. For years he has fantasized about seeing her again and rekindling their flame. Might that jogger possibly be her all these years later? Could this be the most incredible coincidence?
Despite all his attempts to resist, he is consumed by cravings for this woman. And when events take a tragically unexpected turn, his obsession threatens to destroy both their worlds. But still he won’t stop. Can’t stop.

I could not take the headphones off!
The headline sums it up and as a listeners version of "I could not put this down" I am a fan of Peter James and I rate this as one of his very best books.
Some other writers efforts to write a thriller, crime or mystery story slide into the unbelievable, Peter does not and I think that is why this story is so gripping.
My only criticism is about the sound quality it seems to have been recorded in parts with different equipment.

Gripping tight to the end
Wow! What an emotional rollercoaster ride. I was on edge right up to Chapter 99. Highly highly recommended. A brilliant story! Such a great baddy who is so twisted. So many times I had to switch off audible as it was so emotional.

Nerve shredding
I’ve read/listened to all of the Roy Grace series and loved them but I would say this is better. I could hardly bear to listen at times as so nerve jangling. Only criticism is that sound was on the quiet side.

The last few chapters were so exciting
I was wary of reading a Peter James book without Roy Grace as the main character. However, this book was really really good, and the last few chapters had me on the edge of my seat. I will not hesitate to read more Peter James books without Roy Grace as the main character. I would most definitely recommend this book.

Absolutely gripping
I am a huge fan of Peter James, It took a little while to get into as I usually listen to the Roy Grace series which cracks in straight away, but once the story started to form I was totally hooked. Great characters, a gripping story line and although I'm a huge fan of Daniel Weyman as a narrator, Justin Avoth was superb.

Sound quality
Great story as ever from Peter James - I just found the sound quality dreadful- this seems to be happening more & more on audible pieces - not sure what happened on quality control - especially when this app is literally about the audio! I am an avid audible, I have tried every setting & reloading it to no avail Disappointed with sound - great story :-/
