They won the battle. For now. But Junco lost more than she can handle to get that job done. The ancient aliens are returning to Earth and their long-awaited prophecy is about to unfold.
Lucan and his army need Junco to do her job if they have any chance of living through the ancient prophecy. They need her to follow directions and focus.
But Junco’s friends are dead - some of them at her own hand.
Her home is gone, her mind is more unstable than ever, and ghosts from the past are haunting her.
And now she finds out they’ve been lying to her? How could she ever trust anyone again?
Can a girl who was born a monster feel loyalty and love?
Or will she let them all die in the end?

Sublime writing
This saga is an act of genius - the sheer brilliance of which comes along so very rarely. The narration was spot on throughout and the production was good. I would highly recommend this series to any reader/listener who adores truly epic fiction. Yes, it is complicated to follow all of the different strands of the plot, but like all great art it rewards you for the mental effort many times over. This is one of those stories that will change your world view, and stay with you always, becoming a part of your very soul.

My Mind Blown
I must admit this series was very well written.
The narration is excellent.
Trying to keep up with the story line was difficult for me. I do believe that was the point though. It had so many different sides to it. kept you guessing all the way to the end.
The take on this religious and historical sci fo is something I haven't experienced until now and it blended very very well.
Ja Huss is an amazingly intelligent individual, and deserves congratulations on this work.

Oh wow! What an epic ending to this thrilling series. The storyline is amazing and fast moving with never a dull moment. The characters are wonderful and exciting, both good guys and bad. It’s brilliant and the narrators are terrific!

Yeah I'm still confused
I think I listened to this audiobook like 5 times before even finishing it because something new would be added to the story and I was like "WTH just happened and why?"
This whole series is just super confusing for me and I'm a PNR girl.
It just kinda hurt my brain.
I'm am not Junco or I am Junco = I'm glad it's over.

Mind-twisting listening
Having so thoroughly enjoyed Book 1, I was straight into Book 2. It was a little strange, getting used to the different voices but with the way the story was written, it worked. All four narrators, especially Kristen Sieh, brought it to life. Yes, it was very confusing! How JA Huss managed it, I do not know, but it all made perfect sense in the end. Like a Fairisle sweater, so many different strands and loose ends coming together to create a perfect outcome. Thank you so much.
