Summary

A Space Marine Battles novel

Kor'sarro Khan of the White Scars is petitioned by his Chapter Master to hunt down and destroy an ancient enemy of the Chapter: the daemon prince Voldorius.

LISTEN TO IT BECAUSE

It's a good old-fashioned White Scars and Raven Guard team-up! The two radically different Chapters unite to hunt down a fearsome daemon prince who has plagued them both.

THE STORY

Captain Kor'sarro Khan of the White Scars is petitioned by his Chapter Master to hunt down and destroy the daemon prince Voldorius, a warleader of the renegade Alpha Legion, thus ending his reign of terror across the stars. Hunting the beast doggedly for over a decade, Kor'sarro finally brings Voldorius to battle on Quintus, a world that has totally given itself over to the Alpha Legion. Together with their Raven Guard allies, the White Scars must fight an entire planet if they are to slay the daemon prince.

Written by Andy Hoare. Narrated by Shogo Miyakita. Running time 10 hours and 21 minutes (approx).

Interesting story, great narrator

Really enjoyed the combination of White Scars and Ravenguard. A really cool insight into how each Chapter acts and an interesting villain with an interesting goal.

Best narration in 40k

The story is great, and Shogo Miyakita brings it to life in a truly spectacular fashion.

Very poor writing and narration

The narration and writing are uninspired and seem to really portray the scars as weak and inept at every opportunity. And what’s with the stereotypical “Asian” accent? Chigoris isn’t Asia, it isn’t even in the same solar system… and it’s the 41st millennium 😅
