Summary
Even for a top-gun banker, temptation this hot is quite a gamble in a sexy Wall Street romp from New York Times best-selling author Lauren Layne.
An alpha among the wolves of Wall Street, Kennedy Dawson rose to the top of the pack by striking the right contracts at the right times. But there's one deal that's been giving him a run for his money - a pact to never again let his assistant, Kate, get under his skin. She may be smart, gorgeous, and sharp as a whip, but she's definitely off-limits.
Kate Henley isn't a banker, but she knows a thing or two about risk management - specifically, about managing her attraction to her smolderingly sexy boss. She already fell once, and Kennedy showed no sign of paying a return on her investment. So when Kennedy's brother starts pursuing her, Kate figures she has the best of both worlds. Jack is charming, rich, very attentive, and the spitting image of his older brother.
It's also making Kennedy think twice. But to win Kate's heart, he'll have to broker the deal of a lifetime...and prove he's worth the risk.

Love at first sight, slow burn, millionaire
Kate is so cute and organised and Kennedy is very endearing and a very broody kind of way. It was interesting to follow the way they finally got together. And for those of us who love geeks this couple is golden. There is some steam around the end too but their love story is the main event.
Zachary and Samantha's performances were, as always, outstanding.

The best of the series!
This is #3 of the series and I liked it the best, except that its written in the third person. Not quite sure why she changed her style from the others.
It is standalone but i would recommend starting at the beginning as it's about three friends and you see the development of their lives throughout.
This was fun because it was about Kate who is very orderly who falls in love with one of her bosses, unbeknown to him until his brother catches her attention and then all hell breaks loose. Kennedy is a lovely character, Mr Grumpy, but so misunderstood and actually at heart one of the best of the bunch.
It is an easy read without much angst and just two people finding their way to true love.

Some good stuff here, some not so good
Author attempts to resist cliche, which is nice. I wish the female characters would talk about anything other than the men, though. I was invested in this one until the end but the final scene was nauseating (pet peeve, for me). Only other problem was that every reference to the heroine's senior colleagues as "her boys" made me think of the Totinos sketches on SNL and I'd stop reading to laugh.

Good
Enjoyed the story Kennedy and Kate were well suited, he was a bit slow off the mark typical man, but he got there in the end. Love the voice of Zachary Webber definitely picked the right narrators for both Kennedy and Kate. Enjoyed the whole series of these books.

Phew what a scorcher 🙉🙉
The third and final book of these Wolves of Wall Street and what a way to end!!
Ladies get out the tissues, as this one is a killer the feels department and it's not going to take any prisoners.
So we've seen Ian settle with Lara and their wedding is almost here. Then Matt and Sabrina finally sort themselves out and are now blissfully and happily married.
But what about Kennedy and Kate?? The last two of this tight circle of best friends??
Well Kate's been in love with Kennedy since the day she met the three guys, back when they were junior investors and she their assistant. But after hearing something from Kennedy, one night, when the three guys made a pact to never hit on her!
Upon hearing his comment about her, she left broken hearted and never looked at him again. Since then, their relationship has never been the same.
Coming back to present day.
On finding herself caught into having to plan a surprise birthday party for Kennedy, on behalf of his girlfriend Claudia. No matter how many times she tries to tell her that certain things wouldn't be a good idea, his new girlfriend won't listen. So what if he's allergic to certain things, he wouldn't be the only one there.
Once she's back at her desk, she looks up at someone who's just stopped at her desk. When she looks up, she meets a double of Kennedy. The one difference is he s smiling at her and starts to joke around with her and flirting. This is Jack Dawson, one of Kennedy's younger brothers.
Well I'm sure you can guess what's about to happen.
Dating, then double dates, followed by jealousy and all other things, to take their relationships all over the place.
But then Kate receives news that tears her apart and makes life decisions and come back like an entirely different person and not necessarily for the better. But she's hurting and hurting badly, making her think irrationally.
To find out what and find out what follows, you'll have to buy the book 😋😋
While you're buying the book, don't forget to buy the audio too.
Yet again we have the marvellous and talented Samantha Cook and Zachary Webber speaking for the two parts. Again they do a wonderful job and ladies, more swooning and drooling over that voice of his....guys only you can say whether the same goes with Samantha, although I'm sure you'd probably agree on your side!!
So just get the two and fully enjoy this last book on the three Wolves on Wall Street 😍😎😍😎

A lovely big story in a compact format
I’ve truly enjoyed this listen, the characters are well devolved and the story was beautiful. I’ve read longer books that still hasn’t managed to make the story as well developed and in depth as Lauren Layne made this one.
The apex of the story is not too drawn out or over the top and feels like a natural part of the character development at the same time as its there and keeps the story interesting. A lot of bitter sweet moments but still a HEA that feels amazing.
