About this listen
I Will Become Queen of Luce…Or Die Trying.
People aren’t as they seem. And history…I’m still attempting to reconcile the truth with what I was previously told.
My new allies have an agenda, but I have one of my own. Though there’s overlap—we all agree Dante must die—what I desire more than anything is to return to Lore before he levels the kingdom to find me…or loses his humanity trying.
I may favor crowns over coffins, but I refuse to live in a world where my mate only exists as a bird.
Strap in for one last romantic and pulse-pounding adventure in a world governed by magic and hearts.

Comfortable characters
Was nice coming back to a world and characters that are so familiar. The way the twists were explained felt a bit childish, but fits our always so positive and motivated FMC.

Whimsical Closure
Embarking on the final chapter of this enchanting trilogy, narrated by the talented Olivia King, I anticipated a gripping tale of love and magic. As the protagonist, I grapple with unexpected twists, discovering a realm where nothing is as it seems. King's voice captures the nuances of my journey, painting a vivid picture of an obsidian underworld and the alliances formed. However, pacing issues and character inconsistencies left me grappling for immersion, and the resolution felt short for my liking. Moments of growth and captivating scenes redeemed the experience, but overall, the audiobook provides a mildly satisfying conclusion, with Olivia King's narration lending depth to the magical narrative.

Amazingly heartbreaking story!
"I will be the most well behaved inkwell in the history of inkwells ."
If you enjoy books with a intricately-detailed plot that messes completely with your mind so that it no longer knows which way is up, can't form a single coherent thought and is leaking out through your ears to escape use then this is the book for you. This mind-blowing finale for Lore and Fallon's story is exactly that as the author completely obliterates any and all rational thoughts, taking you in directions you could never have guessed in a million years. It definitely seems like the authors inkwell did not embody Fallon and be the most well-behaved of inkwells, in fact it's very clear that it and the characters mutinied and took control. Whilst this made for an amazing story it also wrecked havoc with my heart, my mind and my nerves!
House of Striking Oaths begins with quite an informative vibe as more of the history is revealed, she gets to hear stories from others she never considered and this forces her to reevaluate everything. The book was well-paced throughout, with intense scenes that made it feel like you heart was going to beat right out of your chest, to the most unexpected surprise twist this author has ever done. Usually I'm quite good at knowing this authors tricks and being able to work out the direction of the story but everything just hit me like a ton of bricks. Slower paced with the romance and the steam but once it picks up it gets hot very fast, Lore will not be denied and may never resurface from his room if he could.
The connection between Lore and Fallon is beautiful, even though he's super over-protective he does try if only extremely reluctantly to loosen his reins .... but most of the time he is his usual stubborn, jealous, pig-headed self refusing to abandon Fallon's side in danger, forbidding her to get into dangerous situations or getting hurt. So naturally Fallon just goes of and ignores it all doing it anyway. The banter between the two had me laughing out loud, it was so sweet and hilarious. It was also nice to seen Fallon grow and become more independent and sure of herself, she still hates blood but she copes well with it this time, mostly.
Lots of emotional, beautiful and surprising relationship development between a lot of characters, some of which I can't mention due to spoilers but Fallon's relationship with her gruff tough as iron talons father is truly beautiful. Special shoutout to the narrators, Olivia and Tim for making the whole experience listening to this amazing story absolutely perfect!
I am truly heartbroken that Lore and Fallon's story has come to an end and would totally beg the author for another book especially as Olivia ends the finale with a cliffhanger! Will Fallon finally be the Queen of Luce? Or will she be grieving the loss of her hard as iron talons over-protective mate's loss of humanity?

Exciting adventure, wonderful characters
Great continued building of adventure from the first book. Looks of danger and twists and turns. The FMC dev getting more fiesty is a positive way, and Lore is dreamy!! Narrator has improved so much since book 1!

Exceptional Storytelling
Thoroughly enjoyed this third book and am gutted book four is not yet available on audio. The author creates beautiful worlds and characters so much so that it's heartbreaking to lose any of them. I have had to go find more works by this author while I wait for the next one.

The main character is really annoying
The main character of the series is the worst personality I have ever heard, she makes the worst decisions and annoying stupid. I wish I never started listening to it. The narrator’s accent was awful too, the only redeeming quality is the world that everyone lives in and all the other characters which are well rounded.
