About this listen
In the game of love, who will melt first?
LUKE: No one seems to comprehend the pressures of playing for an NCAA college hockey team and being in the pre-med program. With the NHL draft and graduation looming, I can’t handle any distractions in my life. Discipline and focus are my two best friends. The absolute last thing I need my senior year is to be roped into some campus social media project with a sexy junior who changes majors more times than she does clothes. Yet here I am, posing for a calendar I had no intention of participating in, attending parties, and making out, among other things, in public. And yeah, if I’m smiling the whole way, it must be because I’ve finally cracked. That’s the only explanation why I’ve let Jax sashay her way into my every thought. Puck me! My world has been irrevocably turned upside down once already, and I won’t let it happen again—even if it means becoming the “Ice Man” that everyone calls me.
JAX: It might have taken me three years to decide on a major, but I’ve got it all figured out now, and I’m going to win a coveted communications internship too. I just need the grumpy hockey captain to relax a bit and help me help his team. So what if I know diddly about the game and that he won’t even let me past the front door? I’ve got this! And if I’m shivering at his touch, it’s because he’s so cold, not because he makes me hot. Nope, despite the rumors circulating on campus, we’re only spending every waking minute together because of my assignment, that’s all. Although, maybe we’re dating? I don’t know, but I plan to find out! Because it’s starting to feel real, especially his kisses. Yup, I’m totally pucked!

hot and cold
Loved the dual narration of Laura Horowitz and Aaron Shedlock.
Luke is a college hockey player who is heading to go pro after graduation. Jax is strait-laced and grumpy. Jax she is the opposite full of light and sunshine. They’re forced to work together and before he knows he is falling for the smart and strong woman.
Jax can not believe the grumpy hockey play is getting under her skin.
This book has humour, angst, tension, and romance.

4.5 Stars!
This was such a fun and entertaining read!
Pre-med student and captain of Thatcher College’s hockey team, Luke Prescott is trying to concentrate on his up-and-coming career. Known as the “Ice Man” on campus, that’s just how he likes/wants it. With the NHL draft and graduation on the horizon, distractions are the last thing Luke needs. Meanwhile, Jax Silva, a junior, is looking to get the internship of her dreams. When Luke is assigned a social media project with Jax, her distraction could be, the difference in his success. If only the hockey grump would lighten up and just cooperate with her. She is determined to do the best job possible on this project and give him the best social media presence possible; from shooting a sexy team calendar, to kissing cams, to Instagram posts. And despite the campus rumours, their teaming up is purely due to their assignment, and nothing more. Right?
Lol, the antics in this book were so fun to read about. This gave me all the feels I needed and I loved it! Luke is the cold to Jax’s warm, the grumpy to her sunshine, and I was here for every moment.
Narrated by Laura Horowitz and Aaron Shedlock, they were excellent and complimented each other very well. Their voices were able to bring the characters and their story to life, providing all the emotions needed. Shedlock was perfect and able to portray the icy, turned-warm, characteristics of the “Ice-Man” himself, Luke. Horowitz brought the fun, sunshine personality of Jax. I truly loved them in this!

Sweet Romance
This is the third book in the Lesson in Love Series, a Sports Romance. I like this series. Jax and Luke's story is fun, sweet, and engaging. Jax (Jacqueline) is beautiful , sunshine, and determined. Luke is handsome, grumpy, and enigmatic. This is a great grumpy/sunshine romance. Laura Horowitz and Aaron Shedlock did an excellent job bringing this story to life. I enjoyed it. Luke & Jax!
This is just what I needed this weekend. Starting my Friday with a sports romance with a slow burn and humor all brought the warmth to my heart. Luke is trying to concentrate on his up and coming career and Jax is looking to get the internship of her dreams. Her distraction could be the difference in his success, but can he resist? The Ice Man as he is known is the grumpy to Jax's sunshine and she is determined to give him the best social media presence possible. From kissing cams to Instagram posts, there is heat and smiles leaving me with the best feeling. Tara September's on a role, writing this with the first two in the series taking place simultaneously and all the characters on point and fantastic. I love this series!
And the narration! Aaron Shedlock and Laura Horowitz are so good together, creating the world of Luke and Jax. High emotions, funny conversations and a budding love that is undeniable to feel all through the voices of these two. Shedlock gives Luke the Ice Man feel until thawed and then he is warm and cuddly! Horowitz is a ray of sunshine as Jax, and she is relatable and incredibly likable. I love these two when they narrate together, it is always a treat!

The characters were well written.
I love that Luke was gold in the beginning and how he slowly opened up to Jax. I love how this book was written. I don't like Morgan though. She thinks the world revolves around her. She's the typical mean girl.

This book was so good.
Tara this book is so good. I love that in the beginning Luke was so cold and sort of distant towards Jax. Jax being the complete opposite this bright ball of energy. Forced to work together. Luke the quiet, grumpy hockey player and the bright, bubbly Jax. This book has a lot of different components and it is really good.
