Summary
Hot SEAL Rick Mann is out of his element and going out of his mind navigating some treacherous and unfamiliar terrain: Hollywood.
Give Rick a clear enemy he can capture or kill and he’s good. But in La La Land, nothing is simple or what it seems. LA is driving a wedge between Rick and the one woman he loves: actress Sierra Cox. Or, maybe, it’s less LA and more Sierra’s co-star - pretty boy Jamey Garret.
When Rick finally loses his cool and uses his fist to make Jamey a little less pretty, the shit really hits the fan, personally and professionally, and he has to call in his old SEAL teammates for help.

A must listen
Another fabulous addition to the series. Hot SEAL in Hollywood is a riveting romance, loaded with jealousy, doubt, drama, and passion. The characters are diverse and colourful, and the surge of emotions run high in this story, thoroughly engaging the readers/listeners. Rick, an Ex-Navy SEAL, falls in love and gets involved with Sierra Cox, an actress he guards. After witnessing a love scene between Sierra and her co-star, Jamey, along with some misunderstanding turns everything upsidedown for Rick. Will this be the end of their relationship?
Cat Johnson is a talented author and an incredible storyteller, capturing my attention from start to end. Sean Posvistak's narration was outstanding; he portrayed the characters' temperaments and emotions flawlessly. All-around, this was a fantastic and a very enjoyable listen, one that I would highly recommend.

Torn
I was torn on this one. I felt more for Rick and saw his side than anything else. Plus I hated the letting go part. I'm a fighter so that's not for me. Glad they found their love but it felt rushed and wasn't sure if everything was solid. Interesting book but not my type of outlook. Good narrator.

Nice to revisit the same characters again
One of the things I've liked about this series is that the original stories end with an HFN, which I find more realistic. I really like that we were able to revisit Rick and Sierra/Carrie's relationship and to hear about the HEA's for the other couples that have developed over the series. I think it would be even cooler to have the earlier characters feature more prominently in the later books than they did in the first five so that it develops more of the story for all of them over time. I've listened to the first five Hot SEALs books, including Rick and Sierra getting together in #5, and then I jumped ahead to this one (#15), so it's possible the characters overlapped more in books 6-14. Hot SEAL in Hollywood could be read as a stand alone, but I think I enjoyed it more after having listened to the first five in the series.
Although I do love revisiting existing characters, I don't love when assumptions break characters up. I was a little disappointed in the communication between Rick and Sierra, and then the ending wrapped up relatively suddenly. There were also some references to BUD/S training in this book that I only understood because I've read Suzanne Brockmann's Troubleshooter series. If I hadn't read that series, I would have appreciated more details on the training Rick alludes to (sugar cookies for example, or even when he just describes BUD/S as wet, cold and sandy).
This was my first time listening to Sean Posvistak and he did a fabulous job bringing energy and emotion to his performance. I didn't always love the voices and he sounded a little young for the characters at times, however the excellent delivery overshadowed anything remotely negative and left me with a really positive impression for the narration. I wouldn't hesitate to listen to him again.

Hollywood craziness!
Continuing the story of Rick and Sierra’s romance that started in Protected by a SEAL. Together for two years but caught up in the craziness of Hollywood Rick is becoming slightly crazed having to watch Sierra’s love scenes with co-star Jamey, in a moment of jealousy Rick lashes out and ends up stalling the film and earning the ire of both the director and Sierra. Can he now come up with a plan to make amends saving both the film and his relationship? Well isn’t planning what Seal’s do best?
A little action with Seal’s doing what they do best, some misunderstandings, heartbreak, heat, humour, a touch of hero worship (loved Jamey’s budding bromance with Rick) there is so much in this story to enjoy. Can Rick and Sierra come full circle and find their way back to each other?
Easy, enjoyable listening perfectly narrated as ever by Sean Posvistak.

Hot Seal in Hollywood.
Loved listening to the audiobook, the story was written well and the characters were interesting. Sierra is a movie star who had a stalker so she hired a bodyguard. Rick is the bodyguard that Sierra hired after a little while they ended up dating but kept it quiet. Sierra was on a movie set with her co - star Jamie and Rick was not happy. There was a lot of emotions that you go through while reading. I do highly recommend the audiobook it is one that does not have to much sex scenes in it.
The narrator was clearly spoken.

Enjoyable
We start off with Rick and Sierra together but with Rick upset about her acting out intimate scenes during her most recent movie. I imagine this is something that would be difficult for any actor! Regardless, the characters were generally fun (Rick has some anger issues!) and I even really liked the other actor, Jamey, with whom Sierra was acting in a movie with. There was also the introduction of multiple other SEALs and I'm sure that the attached ones have their own book! I enjoyed the humor overall and the book was generally short and fun.
Sean Posvistak was really good! He has great ability to do multiple voices and also, he has a fun voice that is able to convey emotion and humor. Very fun narration!

Cute, Quick Romance
I received this audiobook free for an honest review as a member of the Pink Flamingo Productions review team. This was a cute romance between Hollywood and the Armed Forces, Sierra and Rick. A behind-the-scenes Hollywood romance. Way behind the scenes. The story is mostly about the SEAL and the world of Hollywood. Quick story about love, jealousy and self-sacrifice. The narrator did a good job with the male and female parts of this story, their characters and their personalities.
