About this listen
Leo Marchionni, New Orleans’ most reclusive bachelor, has a two-year-old secret...who looks a heck-of-a-lot like him.
After becoming a father, Leo made the impossible decision to hide his son from the world in order to protect him from the mafia. It’s been a year since Leo left the mob, and he’s more than ready to claim his family. The problem is...he hasn’t spoken to the mother of his child - and love of his life - for months. She has no freaking idea he's been seeing his kid almost every day. Worst still, she’s moved on, and her current romance is headline news.
Dahlia Calhoun’s entire life revolves around her young son and her father’s presidential campaign. She doesn’t have time for drama, and she certainly doesn’t have time to pine over the man who broke her heart.
But a little closure would be nice. Unfortunately, Dahlia’s idea of closure is one hot goodbye kiss.
When photos of the governor’s daughter kissing a former mobster surface, Leo and Dahlia’s lives will never be the same. Between a seriously twisted stalker, an angry campaign manager, and a jilted-fake-fiancé the star-crossed lovers are drowning in a scandal tsunami.
Add a rambunctious two-year-old to the mix, and let's just say the environment isn't exactly romantic. Leo’s going to need some major creativity, and every ounce of charm he can muster, to get his second chance at love.
You’ll love this romantic comedy chocked full of suspense, because everyone loves a bad boy trying to be a good dad.

Leo & Dahlia...and Gunnar!!!!
There is nothing better than melding my favorite tropes together. The Bourbon Street Bad Boys Club is a mixture of contemporary romance, with a hint of humor and a lot of mafia! This is the fourth book of the series featuring Leo Marchionni and the love of his life, Dahlia. Meeting in college, these two had a special connection, but when she becomes pregnant and Leo's brother is murdered, they decide it's best to break off their connection until it's safe. Two years later, the family has changed their ways, Dahlia has encountered some trouble of her own and Leo takes her in with their son. With her life in danger, Leo is going to do whatever it takes to keep Gunnar and Dahlia safe and win her heart again. Kathryn M Hearst weaves a story of family, politics, paparazzi, second chances, deceit, adorable dogs and a toddler that makes it all come together! I love these characters! Leo is so protective and attentive. He is everything a woman could want! Dahlia is quite the woman. She sticks to her guns, knows what she wants and loves fiercely. And Gunnar is a hear stealer! He is so cute; he steals the show. We get a glimpse at the brothers we have gotten to know and love along with the rest of the family. This may be my favorite of the series so far!
And to make it even better, it's narrated by two of my favorites! Aaron Shedlock and Ava Lucas tell us Leo and Dahlia's story. Shedlock brings all the alpha tones out in Leo, and the way he is with Gunnar is swoon worthy. Lucas shines as Dahlia, creating a strong woman with a vulnerability that is easy to relate to. And her kid voice! So good! Love this team, they can read to me anytime!

Fun Second Chance Romance
I enjoyed listening to this one. It had the right amount of drama, romance, humor, steam, and a bit of suspense. It also got a bunch of quirky characters who were super fun to get to know.
The story was well-written and easy to follow. I haven't read the other books in the series and I didn't get lost or confused who's who. The author did a good job with that.
As always, Aaron Shedlock did a fantastic jon with his narration. His performance's flawless. Ava Lucas did the same. She was perfect for the role of Dahlia.

Suspenseful and romantic
Although this book is part of a series, I had no trouble not knowing all the previous stories; only the family life would definitely be a bit more entertaining with more background information. From the beginning, you learn a lot about the connection between Leo and Dahlia and I really enjoyed their love story. Since they have a child together the chemistry between the two is predetermined and is not built up slowly. However, a lot has happened since then. Leo doesn't let anything get in the way of protecting Dahlia and his child when things get dangerous for both of them.
The buildup of tension in the story was able to pull me in and was well done. The resolution was unexpected and surprising. Although it took me some time to pick up on the emotions of the two protagonists, they were then convincing and feelable.
The audio book is narrated by Aaron Shedlock and Ava Lucas. I am a fan of Aaron Shedlock's voice and love how well the two narrators harmonize and portray emotion and tension.
Transparency: I won a code for the audio book, no strings attached. I voluntarily wrote my honest review.

Fantastic Story & Narration🎧Gripping & Heartfelt!
The Bourbon Street Bad Boys’ Club series is one of my favorite series, those bad boys, the Marchionni brothers and their stories are absolutely amazing. Each book of the series features a different brother and stands on its own, and I highly recommend them all. Ms. Hearst is a gifted author with a wonderful writing style, she creates interesting stories that are captivating from start to end. The characters are likable, easy to relate to, connect with and are easy to care about too. Hot Momosa is Leo Marchionni and Dahlia Calhoun’s story, they are no longer together but have a two-year-old son, Gunnar, but for safety reasons they never revealed that Leo was the father. Leo is running a successful hotel business and Dahlia works for her father, the Governor, who is prepping to run for the presidency. Because of the Marchionni’s connection to the mob, her father does not want her to have anything to do with Leo, even though he is not involved in mob business. Dahlia is the only one for Leo, but she has moved on and he needs to let her go. But a goodbye kiss leads to so much more, but not in the way you would think. Dhalia has a lot going on in her life, including a stalker who has been sending her threats, one that got too close to home and too close to Gunnar, she called Leo for help. He keeps her safe but they need to find out who is behind the threats and plenty gets uncovered. This is wonderfully plotted second chance romance contains a perfect balance of drama, angst, humor, twists and turns, thrilling & suspenseful moments, heartfelt and emotions, and steamy romance. Kathryn M. Hearst thank you for another amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 And for the amazing narration, Aaron Shedlock and Ava Lucas are fabulously talented voice artists and entertaining storytellers. They have a complete understanding of the characters they are portraying, give each a voice that suits the character’s persona to a tee, sound believable in every role they play and just as I picture the characters to sound. Aaron Shedlock nailed it as Leo, Ava Lucas did the same for Dahlia’s role. Both were fabulous performing the roles of the secondary characters as well, including the adorable Gunnar. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured every single emotion and projected them into their performance. Thank you for another exceptional listen, it is always a pleasure to listen to your work
