Summary
Brought to you by Penguin.
A change of scene or a change of heart?
When your boyfriend calls you impulsive, what do you do?
If you’re Jenny Porter, you dash off to Scotland determined to save a failing textile mill, of course.
That’s how Jenny finds herself having awkward encounters with the abrasive but disconcertingly attractive Ross Grant.
And then, just as things between Jenny and Ross develop into something more interesting, her boyfriend, Henry, arrives in Scotland. Should she do the sensible thing and follow Henry back to London?
Or might her Highland adventure be more than just a fling?
Critic reviews
"Thank goodness for Katie Fforde, the perfect author to bring comfort in difficult times. She really is the queen of uplifting, feel good romance." (Aj Pearce)

Bad accents by narrator
The Scottish accents in this were horrendous! I'm sure the narrator has many other strengths. The storyline is good for escapism.

narrator turned me off but the story is nice
Thiw was a nice story but the narrator read way too slowly for my taste so I ended up listening at 1,25x speed. It's the best I've read by Fforde so far. She does a great job giving you a sense of the cold weather in Scotland, nice description of scenery and nice portrayal of snobs. I got to learn about felt and alpacas. The romance was ok. It was a bit annoying that the main character kept thinking about what her boyfriend would think of her in every situation she found herself in.

Good story spoiled by bad Scottish accent
the narrator, though professional made the Scottish parts sound Irish. I am glad I didn't pay and used my credit

Great story shame about the narration
This is one of my favourite Katie Fforde books and was so happy to see it was being released on Audible. What a shame that the narrators Scottish accent is poor and off putting, she sounded more Irish than Scottish to me. I will be requesting a refund on this occasion unfortunately.

Great story.
Great complex story, as Katie Fforde does so well. I really liked the narrator, love Katie’s books on audible but just can’t listen to Jilly Bond who narrates most of Katie afforded great books. Please could audible provide alternative narrators. I would but all of Katie afforded books on audible but cannot by any with Jilly Bond Narrating

Great story but….
Only a chapter in and I know the story is good but the narrator can’t do a Scottish accent, it goes from Somerset to Irish and lots of others. Being half Scottish it’s super frustrating! Lol!

Scottish accent awful.!!
One of my favourite Katie afforded books, however the Scottish accent in this is actually offensive, sounded more like bad Irish . Being Scottish myself it was painful to listen to. Apart from that was very good.
