Summary
As Christmas approaches and the snow falls deep, a malevolent force stalks the ancient corridors of Castle Kintochlochie. Someone, or something, is determined to derail Lady Ophelia's love affair with estate manager Hamish, so ruggedly handsome yet wildly unsuitable.
She must call upon her wits—not just to discover the culprit...but, perhaps, to escape murder.
Head to the Scottish Highlands for this enchanting 1920s romp, filled with comedy and romance, and a pause-resisting cozy mystery to solve.
Heat level: rather saucy!
Don't miss the prequel in this series, Highland Pursuits, and the final installment in the trilogy, Highland Wedding.

Transported to the 1920s! 💕
This follow on from Highland Pursuits has not disappointed. In addition to the Main Characters, Hamish & Ophelia, Lancelot has joined Pudding as my 2 other favourite characters.
Narrator Gareth, has a real talent! I knew Mrs Beasley's unique voice, as well as nearly all of the supporting cast. The addition of the sounds effects really transported me to the 1920s. Women and Men breaking down barriers to love and being with that person, whether male or female.
This story carries on from Book 1 with no less 'extracurricular activities,' shall we say! 😉
On to book 3.... ' Highland Wedding' 🥂

Light-hearted fun
This follows on neatly from book 1, with much the same cast of characters, in much the same light-hearted and entertaining way, and advancing the story of Ophelia's relationship with Hamish. And there's a bit of a mystery, too...
Gareth J Davies does a very neat job switching almost seamlessly from one character's voice to another.
Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Great continuation!
Highland Christmas is the second part of the Bright Young Things trilogy and is full of adventure for Ophelia.
She decided to stay at her grandmother's castle after the summer because she felt at home. Of course it helped that she also found love there. But someone, or something, is out to get her. Can she survive this?
A really great continuation. I can't wait to listen to the final part.
Gareth J. Davies is a real pleasure to listen to. Also: nice sound effects again!

Sexy romance and a cosy mystery
Another thrilling romance from Emmanuelle de Maupassant with a wonderful performance from Gareth J Davies. Gareth has a real talent for switching voices for each character. Whilst I adore the romance between Ophelia and Hamish, I also love the friendship between Lancelot and Ophelia, they bounce off each other so well. In fact, I really enjoy feeling like I am amongst all the characters in this aristocratic world. I have to admit a love-to-hate feeling towards Countess Felicita. A wonderfully written horrid woman. There is lots of passion between the lovely Ophelia and Hamish, but there is also something else going bump in the night! A ghost or something less supernatural? As always, I enjoyed the descriptions of Ophelia’s beautiful dresses and the wonderful Scottish scenery and the magnificent castle.

Nice wee Christmas Story
A lovely wee Christmas time based story, in which we see Ophelia deal with the return of her nemesis and her mother to the Highlands.
