Summary
Highland Blessings is the story of a highland warrior who kidnaps the daughter of his greatest enemy and clan chief to honor a promise he made to his dying father.
Bryce MacPhearson, a highland warrior, kidnaps Akira MacKenzie on her wedding day to honor a promise he made to his dying father. While Akira's strength in the Lord becomes a witness to Bryce, she struggles to overcome her anger and resentment when he forces her to wed him, hoping to end a half-century-old feud between their clans. While Akira begins to forgive and Bryce learns to trust, a series of murders leaves a trail of unanswered questions, confusion, and a legacy of hate that once again rises between their families. Clearly a traitor is in their midst. Now the one man Akira loves no longer trusts her, and her own life is in danger. Can Bryce look beyond his pain and seek the truth? Will Akira discover the threat against her before it's too late? How will God turn a simple promise into bountiful Highland blessings?

Historical romance and intrigue
Highland blessings written by Jenifer Taylor Hudson and Narrated by Elle Newlands, was both captivating and all consuming. I was unable to put the book down. Loved it

Lovely story, with some gaps. Great narration.
Sometimes I felt like there were gaps in the story. Like I was missing the moment very much where she finally agreed to consumate the marriage, and all of a sudden in the end we get to know she is pregnant without any sign that would suggest it for the reader. I get that it was meant to be a book with much emphasis on religion but still if the author puts in a conversation about her asking him to wait with the consumation of their marriage, she should also not leave the readers hanging.

Awful narration
Abandoned the book after an hour. Narrator sounds like a TV audio description for the blind

good story
Enjoyed thr story very much. The plot was good and it was very sweet.
There isn't even an inkling of any sex in it infact till the very end I thought that they didn't even consummate their marriage.
Thr narrator was very good.

New Favorite!😍
Beautifully told, this story illustrates the struggle of surviving in 15th century Scotland.
The characters are bold yet gentle. I especially loved Brice's brother Sim, and the way he represented deaf & mute people of the time.
The plot was cleverly written if a bit predictable.(it reminded me of The knight & the dove by Lori Wick)
I would have liked the ending to have lasted a bit longer before jumping to the epilogue, but it was still very good.
My favorite element was probably learning about the area and culture, something I hadn't come across before.
A close second would have to be the Narration. Elle Newlands is absolutely fantastic and did an incredible job bringing the characters and scenes to life.
Absolutely recommend.😍😄
