Summary

"Suddenly, all those old country love songs I’d played so often made perfect sense.”

Gravel-voiced Gibson Bodine takes his lone wolf image seriously. The tough guy. The bad boy. He lives alone. Works alone. His one love - besides starting a good brawl - is sitting on a rinky-dink stage in a backwoods bar playing guitar and singing about things he’ll never have. When a video of him playing goes viral, Gibson ignores the unwanted attention. He’s got bigger things to worry about. Like the bomb his half-brother’s mom just dropped on him. And the fallout from the memento he’s been carrying around for 13 years. He doesn’t have time for fame...or love...or meddling neighbors stopping by with casseroles and questions. But one night in a bar, 50 miles from home, he meets her. And she changes everything.

In Bootleg Springs - home of the best moonshine and nosiest neighbors in West Virginia - secrets don’t keep. When the truth about Callie Kendall’s fate brings danger home, it’s up to Gibson to step up and be the hero. And maybe find what he’s been missing all along. Love.

incredible story. absolutely fabulous series.

5*++
Gibson is the eldest of the family and has always felt responsible for them. The effect of his drunken father has had a huge impact on his life.
Callie's disappearance 13 years ago is still throwing up people's curiosity and rumors circulating throughout Bootleg Springs, especially after the discovery of a picture of Callie & Gibson was found inside his wallet.
Mia Davis has been tasked to try and get Gibson to sign up for the record label she works for she's got a good record for signing talent up.
When Gibson spots her he feels a connection to her but he's never seen her before.
I've loved reading this series and was ecstatic to listen to them on audio.
The narrators truly fetched the book to life.

Fabulous book

Wow what a fantastic end to a wonderful series. Even better than I hoped and some great revelations. It just put the icing on the cake and an already wonderful series. The bonus epilogue was absolutely brilliant. It helps settle your heart when you say goodbye to favourite characters. The narration was excellent as always totally enhances the experience.
