About this listen
Hester and Harriet are reluctantly driving to visit relatives on Christmas Day when they come across a young woman hiding with her baby in a bus shelter.
Seeing the perfect excuse for returning to their own warm hearth, the sisters insist on bringing Daria and Milo home with them. But with the arrival of a sinister stranger looking for a girl with a baby, Hester and Harriet's carefully crafted peace and quiet quickly begins to fall apart....

An absolute delight!
Any additional comments?
I loved this humorous story about two elderly sisters whose calm, uneventful existence is totally overset by the arrival in their lives of a young mother and baby, their somewhat sullen teenage nephew and the local tramp. It is beautifully narrated by Julia Franklin.

Not by usual genre but enjoyed this book thoroughly. Brilliant narator. This book leaves you hungry and in need of a glas of wine.
