About this listen
A woman has to stop her rival from ruining her life in Her Husband's Lover, the stunning new novel from the acclaimed Julia Crouch.
She stole her husband. Now she wants to take her life.
After the horrors of the past, Louisa Williams is desperate to make a clean start. Her husband, Sam, is dead. Her children, too, are gone, victims of the car accident in which he died. Sam said that she would never get away from him. That he would hound her to death if she tried to leave. Louisa never thought that he would want to harm their children, though. But then she never thought that he would betray her with a woman like Sophie.
And now Sophie is determined to take all that Louisa has left. She wants to destroy her reputation and to take what she thinks is owed her - the life she would have had if Sam had lived.
Her husband's lover wants to take her life. The only question is: will Louisa let her?

There has got to be a second book!
Can’t believe it ended where it did! Hoping there is a second book. Thoroughly enjoyed !

So sweetly vicious are the women!
Any additional comments?
A well spun tale which one is able to outguess fairly early on - but not the menacing viciousness! The narration was good although at times difficult to tell the main female characters apart. The cloying sweetness of their voices was as unnerving as it was meant to be.

Dreadful narration
Reasonable story, albeit a bit daft, but the narration, or rather The voices she uses for the different characters, are terribly annoying.

This book needs to be a film, soooo good
Loved this book. Read reviews and was not sure but so glad I bought it. It kept me hooked all the way through. Did not want it to end!!!
It has replaced The girl on the Train, will be listening to it again.
It would be amazing as a film.
I love it when I love a book and this is my favourite in a long time

Stalker or not!
Not sure how to explain this book, a twisted and turning tale that is told from the view of Louise the wife and Soph the mistress.
Sam her husband tried to kill her, Sam is dead, her children are dead and all Lou wants is a chance to survive and start again. She wants to put everything behind her but Soph won't let her. Soph wants her life, feels it is her due as Sam had promised her marriage and a life of luxury.
Who will win??

Gripping from beginning to end
I loved this book from beginning to end. You spend the whole book working out who is the baddie. My only issue is the very end which I found disappointing but other than that, I really enjoyed it.

Superb!
Just finished this hugely entertaining book and its 3.30am on a Sunday night with work tomorrow! Dark twisted and clever, and the narrator did an amazing job too!

A great read
Brilliant plot. Half way through I started to question who was the baddie, but it kept me guessing until the very abrupt end! Very well written and read.

Fantastic read with wonderful characters riveting
I enjoyed everything about this book and it was one that I did not want to ever end. The story was so clever and the characters really well developed. I was transfixed by Lou and Sophie and how awful they both were, although my sympathies were with Sophie in the end. Adam was the perfect foil for Lou's character and really helped to establish just what she was really like. The book had a clever ending. I also loved Karen Cass's narration the slightly ironic tone and almost comical narration in places. I simply could not fault this book. I have since purchased Cuckoo by the same author and been totally disappointed.

Her Husband's Lover
Good book with lots of twists and turns. Never knew who the 'goody' was or who to 'side' with!
Quite enjoyable but unfortunately the end was a massive let down. Bit lazy I think.
