About this listen

The New York Times and USA Today best-selling series.

Humanity has finally found a new home, but the price is blood....

After a long, perilous journey, Hell Divers Xavier Rodriguez and Magnolia Katib discover the Metal Islands, a sunny, habitable zone where thousands of people live by fishing and farming. But this "paradise" is really a violent warrior society ruled by the cannibal King el Pulpo. For the first time in X's life, he is forced to lay down his arms and surrender.

Back on the airships, the Hell Divers are recovering from a gruesome discovery at Red Sphere, where they learned the truth about World War III. Now, they must fight another war - this time for what remains of their own endangered species. As the battle approaches, alliances will be forged and others broken.

Forced to fight in the Cazador army, X faces his toughest mission yet. Will he help his people come down from the sky and claim the promised land, or will humanity go extinct?

The Best So Far!!

What a series! Cannot recommend this enough

Hell Divers V had everything Epic battles Gladiator death matches and twist after twist.
Catronia feeling the burden of command The bond forming In battle with X and the Casadors warriors
How doubt and mistrust grew on the hive and Mags considering her new life on the metal islands!

I loved how NSS developed each of the characters from book 1 through to now and cannot to see what book 6 and 7 bring to the table

Entertaining romp

An enjoyable enough instalment in the series so far. Plenty of action and drama, even if the story doesn't really offer up anything new. If it ain't broke, don't fix it I guess.

Of course some of it is over the top and of course a lot of the concepts are ludicrously far fetched... but that's what action, sci-fi pulp fiction is supposed to be all about. Just sit back, turn your brain off and enjoy a bit of escapism,

Utterly outstanding series.

NSS build a world at such a perfect pace over 5 books to culminate in a thrilling end sequence and just the right amount of imagination being left to the reader to answer their questions and leave them thinking about more. This is exquisite post-apoc sci-fi and a benchmark for both story and RC Bray’s performance.
