A Cosy Urban Fantasy Worth Checking Out!

**I was provided a copy by the publisher in return for an honest review**

It took me a bit to get into this, but once I did I flew through this. The audio book is fantastic as well, if anyone is looking for a cosy or fun detective story then definitely check this one out!

Good story

It took a while to get into this but once I did, the story was fine. The characters were interesting and the story kept you listening. The main issue I had was with the narrator, I really did not take to her at all. I don't know what it was as she did a good job at separating the characters but I found her hard to listen to, which was a shame.

Good introduction to a new series

Another Urban Fantasy novel centred around the role of Private Investigator would seem to be fairly unoriginal, but it mostly works due to the varied cast which isn't focused on the more usual supernatural creatures. The story is entertaining enough and serves to introduce this cast of characters very well, thus providing a good foundation for future books in the series.

The narrator's tone seemed a little too subdued and probably didn't enhance the overall story as much as possible, but she did do a good job with making the characters distinctive enough.

Overall, a quick and entertaining listen that makes me interested in subsequent books in the series.
