About this listen

If there was an option to heal your body in a natural way, would you take it?

Well, there is, and the answer has been right in front of us all along: Plants and herbs.

Natural remedies restore balance and harmony to your body, making them one of the most powerful, natural medicines around and, when correctly used, can do wonders to transform the way that we feel from the inside out. This ancient wisdom was harnessed many centuries ago and now it is making a comeback again as people experience how easy it is to integrate these healing remedies into their daily life.

The herbalist is a very special kind of individual. They are part of an elite group that is once again getting in touch with nature and harnessing all its bountiful blessings, a gift that many once possessed. "Once upon a time we had to rely on nature..."

The idea may be sound but, sadly, the execution of this book is a failure. At approximately two hours in lenfth, it can only dangle the briefest history of herbalism combined with an explanation of the holistic principle before the reader, tantalize with a list of necessary items in the Herbal Practitioner's Pantry then rapidly list alphabetically first some useful herbs and spices (or a few other plants) then ailments effectively treated naturally. The time would have been far better employed either giving a fuller resumee of the history and continuance today of non manufacturer chemical treatments to set the imagination and listing further books to pursue the treatment side. Or, by assuming that the reader would already like to get started, suggesting treatments for various ailments, grouped in like symptom separate chapters (eg. Could and colds, intestinal problems, skin blemishes and bites, headache etc.) for easy findings.

Instead this is a something and nothing
Narration by Helena Studmire also fails to impress. Her voice is deliciously warm and deep but the reading is halting and jerky, and far too slow. Some pronunciations also sound strange to my English ear, but that could simply be the great Atlantic divide.

My thanks to the rights holder of Healing Made Easy, who, at my request freely gifted me with a complimentary copy via Audiobook Boom. I had high hopes for this book which were, sadly, not fulfilled.
