About this listen

Jason arrives at a kingdom in peril and he's surprised to discover that it's not his job to save it.

With the authorities fulfilling their responsibilities (for once), he looks forward to some quiet time to rest and recuperate.

The locals might not find ceaseless monster onslaughts and an interdimensional invasion relaxing, but Jason has had a rough few years. He's doing his best to let go of his anger.

While his team is caught up in duty, Jason has no shortage of people looking to interfere with his rest. Enemies—old and new—are circling, and even would-be allies are trouble. A princess finds him inconveniently alive, an ancient king arrives at his barbecue, and the local Church of Fertility are uncomfortably enthusiastic about including him in their practices. As his friends strive to reach him from the far side of the world, they are all frustrated by obstacles.

Jason is finally back in the world he longed for, but he is not the same man he was when he left. As the pressure on him mounts, allies and enemies alike will find that out the hard way.

My honest review for a masterpiece series

This ain’t my first review for this series I have done a review for every book so far and I am honestly hooked on this masterpiece. I have reread the entire series 3 times and am still loving it, I can’t wait for book 8 and 9 very well done. I won’t give spoilers but yes this is a masterpiece and a half that’s the god dam truth (literally god dam, cuz you know Jason… why aren’t you laughing >:( )

First of all heath miller does a fantastic job as usual! He can really express emotion through so many different voices.

addictive/amazing, narrator best I've heard!

I find this gem a month ago and already on book 11. wasn't sure at first about buying for some time as the pictures made it appear like was more of a children's book but that's not case and glad I took chance! won't put any spoilers in, it has funny parts, emotional parts and always leaves you wanting know more, only downside is when explaining powers as further in you get it gets tedious going through all rankings and had it last about 15 minutes at Times, is interesting at first but if good memorie it's repeating itself, Don't let that put you off though! I've 300 books in my library and don't think I've ever come across a narrator as talented! can sometimes get confusing if large amount of characters and narrator doesn't have enough voices, especially as I play at 1.3 x speed so don't want spend Time working out whos speaking and miss parts, this definitely isn't the case and I'm amazed how many different voices has in his arsenal, makes knowing each character so much easier and creating a imagine of them, which the voice can truly help with character building and why I love audible so much! I'm dyslexic and missed out on books/storys for 25 years until I discovered audible, buying year membership every few months makes each credit like £4 aswell if any serious listeners which are buying 3 at time as I was until this year.
only series I've enjoyed this much is name of the wind, since the author stole or got a family member which isn't alive anymore to write the first 2 unfortunately we won't see book 3 😭 my theory anyways as 15 years between books is crazy and unless he's incapable for whatever reason it would of happened by now!
