Summary

He seemed perfect. But he was a liar....

Sarah is in a loving relationship with Paul, a man she hopes to one day marry and start a family with, until his untimely death turns her world upside down. Trying to come to terms with her loss, Sarah finds comfort in looking through Paul's old things, including his laptop and his emails. But after finding something troubling, Sarah begins to discover things about her late partner that she never knew before, and it seems he wasn't as perfect as she thought.

As she unravels more about his secretive past, she ends up learning things that not only break her heart, but things that the police would be interested to know, too. But it's only when she keeps digging that she realises that some of these secrets are also shared by people who are still alive. And they will do anything to keep them hidden.

He was a liar. And now she is in danger....

Another gripping psychological thriller from the author of the best-selling Til Death Do Us Part.

Nice storyline, but could of been so much more… struggled with narrator

I liked the storyline but felt it could have gone further. The narrator was not for me, I don’t like the Jeremy Clarkson way of speaking.

Good story, dreadful narration

Nasal drone of narrator, who sounded like she was reading the news, ruined book.

The perfect read for a flight or a train journey.

Not everybody realises that all you hold dear can be gone within a blink of an eye. Least of all, Sarah, for everything she believed to be genuine in her happy circle, explodes when her longtime boyfriend dies unexpectedly in a hit-and-run accident.
The aftermath holds many secrets and lies; although the plot is transparent, it will keep you turning the pages or listening to the audio recording.

My only criticism is that the narrator sounded like she was reading the news, not a story.

Good story with unconventional ending

I won’t say what happens but this was a good read.
Great for listening to while tidying the house. I’m very surprised that it has no other reviews so I’ve decided to leave one as it’s really a very good listen and very well narrated too. Gripping story with a steady pace.

Easy listening

The story moved at a good steady pace and even better an insight into IT.

Boring

A really poor plot, laboriously delivered. Read a few books by this author which have been riveting. Not this one!
