Summary
Aidan Liam Cavanaugh is a pretentious name, not me at all, until you understand the meaning.
I play defense for the Boston Brawlers. Aidan means "fiery", Liam means "protector", and isn't that what you want your defenseman to be? The fiery protector of your team?
No wonder most women think I'm a clown and a player. I don't bother disabusing them of the notion since I hardly want to get serious.
Until Pink. Allie Pinkerton. Smart. Serious. Graceful. And a woman who wants nothing to do with the likes of me.
She's my teammate's wife's friend and f**k if one unlucky weekend we don't get stuck dog-sitting. Together. On an island. Nantucket to be exact.
And when I say stuck, I mean stuck. As in a hurricane bearing down on us.
The only thing I want more than to make it back to Boston for the season opener is to stay put on the island with her....
They call me Pink—or at least my friends do. And some annoying non-friends. Like Aiden, the overly-muscled jokester of the Boston Brawlers hockey team. I'm not exactly a fan—of hockey or him.
I shouldn't stereotype, but he hasn't shown me anything to make me doubt his role as the MVP of up to no good.
Until that dog-sitting weekend. And damn if my appreciation for his hot muscles doesn't override good sense....
But we both need to get back to the mainland when the hurricane hits, endangering us, endangering everything we thought we knew about ourselves. And most of all, endangering our hearts.

Brilliant
This made lawn mowing an absolute pleasure. The story flows well the hint of danger with the storm and then the cuteness factor of the Puppies this was just an amazing listen. I also wanted to make a note of the narration it was well choosen for the story.

Brawlers
Loved the dual narration of Amy Hall and Christopher Anthony. Both perfect for this book. You can feel the characters.
This a whirlwind romance. Aiden plays hockey for the Boston Brawlers and he is also a joker and a player. Allie but Pink to her friends has her own accounting company and she is so good at it that she doesn't have time for romance or relationships. These two find themselves stranded together on Nantucket while taking care of three energetic puppies.

This was a super fast story.
Dog sitting, friends, a major hurricane level storm and a whirlwind of heat and emotions.
