About this listen
Of course, where there's paradise, trouble can't be far behind. Trouble, in this case, makes its entrance in the terrifically charismatic and silver-tongued form of a young revolutionary named Fidel Castro. The Caribbean is fast becoming a strategic Cold War hub, and Soviet intelligence has taken Castro under its wing. The CIA's response is to send the one man capable of eliminating Castro: the legendary gunfighter and ex-Marine hero Earl Swagger, who proved his lethal talent in the national bestsellers Hot Springs and Pale Horse Coming.
In Cuba, Earl finds himself up to his neck in treacherous ambiguity where the old rules about honor and duty don't apply, and where Earl's target seems to have more guts and good luck than anyone else in Cuba.

Superb Narration Brought Characters To Life.
All reviews are entirely subjective and in my opinion the narration by William Dufris was no less than superb and utterly engrossing.
It's a rare narrator who, seemingly with ease, is capable of voicing completely different accents, dialects and an array of different tonal qualities and nuances for each character in the space of a short paragraph. This expert attention to detail is repeatedly the case with this narrator and the effect is that the already brilliantly written story line is vastly 'amplified' becoming considerably more than simply reading words with disinterest off a page; a common trait with many a lesser Audible narrator.
Stephen Hunter and William Dufris are experts at their respective crafts who clearly put a lot of thought and consideration into their work. Together they are a winning combination.
