Summary
Family versus family.
Months have passed since Steve drove off Penelope’s army, and Darkwood Farm has only gone from strength to strength. an excellent story and performance
another brilliant story, really enlarging the world and giving a great setup to the future. the narrators do a fantastic job bringing the characters to life and the story gives others more agency so it isn't JUST the MC solving things.
the combat was great, the spice was gripping and the tension was well managed. I do wish we'd had some more surprise moments from the MC given his ice magic felt like it was being foreshadowed so much but hopefully that will be rectified in the next book!
can't wait for number 4!

An excellent story I couldn't get enough of!
So, by the time I've written this review I had listened from the start in the morning and had gone throughout the day completely enamored with the plot, it's brilliant duo voice actors and the sheer range the two possess, it's currently seven in the morning and I couldn't get a wink of sleep for the best of reasons, thank goodness it's the weekend or I'd be in trouble but I honestly couldn't get enough, from book 1, 2 and 3 they've only developed and had gotten better, the characters are both immersive, enticing and a pleasure to follow along with the expansive world the author has brought to life. I truly hope there is a book 4 coming out in the near future, there are new players on the board and I can't wait to see/hear what happens next! The story knows what it is, a classic fantasy universe with heavy adult themes, take time out of your day and remember what it is like to truly appreciate the ones you adore. No regrets! Looking forward to the next!
