About this listen
Real-World Training in "The Practice of Happiness" with Thich Nhat Hanh.
Look deeply into the nature of the mind and you will find the seeds of true happiness and freedom. This was the Buddha's great realization - and it is a discovery that you, too, can make in any moment. With Happiness, Love, and Liberation, you will join Thich Nhat Hanh for seven sessions of advanced teachings and rare insights discovered throughout his seven-decade inquiry into the truths of Buddhist psychology. Understanding the Roots of Suffering - the First Step Toward Freedom. What are the ingredients for a life of genuine happiness? According to Thich Nhat Hanh, happiness only arises through a deep understanding of the roots of suffering - and through the cultivation of joy, love, and compassion that comes with daily practice of mindfulness and meditation.
Offering in-depth instruction in applying foundational Buddhist principles backed by modern science, he provides inspiration and support for healing the habits that lead to suffering and opening to the miracle of life in the here and now. From guidance to sitting and walking meditation to an examination of key Buddhist teachings including the Diamond Sutra, the Heart Sutra, and much more, these seven audio-learning sessions are intended to help us release our worries about past and future - and start living with ease in joyful recognition of the gifts of the present moment. Highlights:
- How mindfulness and concentration generate happiness and joy
- Meditation as an antidote to agitation and anxiety
- Four basic breathing exercises for accessing peace at any time
- Releasing concepts that lead to suffering
- "Every step a miracle" - the art of walking meditation
- Our intimate connection to our "spiritual ancestors
- The evolution of science and philosophy
- Zen practice: toward a fuller understanding of reality

Please listen to this book
Thich Nhat Hanh speaks with such kindness and depth. His lessons are incredibly powerful delivered with both humour and humbleness. I was sad when I came to the end but look forward to listening to Happiness, love and Liberation again and again . The lessons are recorded live so do not expect studio sound quality . I enjoyed feeling like I was there as part of the audience.

Beautiful book
Thich Nhat Hahn is the greatest teacher for anyone interested in Buddhism and his teachings are very digestible. The only challenge ensuring that you listen deeply to what he teachers as his teaches go deeper than you can ever imagine.

Invaluable Dharma talk by Thich Nat Hanh - if you can hear it!
This is a wonderful compendium of so many aspects of his teachings - which means, to me, the teachings of the Buddha.
If you had to describe to anyone, even to a scholar of the subject, what Buddhism is, this talk alone could do it. TNH himself is a very great scholar of the histories, and earliest texts in their own languages; but his teaching is completely natural, and he makes everything Make Sense.
He makes clear the interdependence of all the concepts; from the apparently simplest precepts to the deepest reaches of the Mahayana. His own personality is a living lesson in loving kindness and concentration.
Pity about the recording…

Terrible sound recording
I have the utmost respect for this wonderful teacher and the dharma however I struggled to listen to these teachings. The live recordings were very poor. At times it sounded like it was recorded in a swimming pool with a watery background, distant chatter and an audience distracted with coming and going and sneezes and coughs. I’ve read most of Thich Nhat Hanh’s books and would highly recommend any other but not this one. Sorry to have to write this review.

Not the best one
I found this a bit too diverse and more abstract than some other Thich Nhat Hanh works.
