About this listen

Secrets. Everybody’s got ‘em, including me. Especially me.

The difference is mine will never be revealed, whereas I can easily get yours, assuming the price offered by your enemy is right and the scales of justice appeal to my personal standards of ethics. Easy peasy lemon squeezy. The thing that’s not so easy for a shy guy like me? Finding Ms. Right and locking her down.

Speaking of Ms. Right, the very night I was set up with Hannah Milliken by our mutual friend, I knew I’d one day kneel before her with a ring in hand. Hannah’s the kind of girl who’ll gleefully dance like a gorilla with me in the coolest nightclub or belt out a karaoke duet from Grease like her very life depends on it. She’s gorgeous, too. Funny and smart. And she even wears librarian glasses. See? Perfect.

I don’t doubt Hannah’s the one for me. Indubitably, she is. I only wonder how a dork like me could possibly land a goddess like her.

Unfortunately, when catastrophe strikes, all my questions are rendered moot. Now that Hannah knows the truth about me not actually working in cybersecurity—as well as the questionable things I’ve done to win her over—will I lose my dream girl forever, or is there still a chance for us to chase our happily ever after?

Hacker in Love is a steamy, funny, heart-pounding, standalone contemporary romance with a whole lot of feels, laughs, spice, and swoons by USA Today and internationally best-selling romance author Lauren Rowe.

the love between two nerds

Hannah and Henn discover how much they are alike when it comes to nerdy music and certain scenes from Pride and Prejudice.
But it's Henn's job in cybersecurity that could tear them apart.
This is a very funny story, and the narrators did an amazing job of bringing all the characters to life.

Great read

I discovered Lauren Rowe during the crazy times of 2020 and listened to, and loved, the Cat and Josh series and all of the Morgan brothers too. So, this book was like dipping back into those books, and I enjoyed seeing all the characters again. Henny and Hannah are just perfect for each other, and as normal, Lauren Rowe doesn’t disappoint!

I made a mistake with this one

starting strong with the best friend kissing the MMC before presenting him to the FMC "trying him out." From what I read, it is a book that belongs to an already created world, and it is very noticeable, the secondary characters have too much prominence in this book and their stories are TOO present in the plot of the book. so much so that I don't consider it a Standalone book at all. I feel like you need to read the others to really have a pleasant experience. Now, returning to the book: Henn was a very cute character, super adorable and tender. But I feel that, since he was so cute, the author felt the need to create Hannah as the conflictive one between them. The truth is that she didn't contribute anything good, she even felt annoying at times. And their relationship being so cute, I could forgive the book for all of that... what I couldn't forgive was the passing of the story, that jump in time without warning and without measure, the relationship and plot of the book moved too quickly, many times I had to returned to see if I had missed something while reading/listening. The premise of the book caught my attention, but it was a bad decision on my part.
