About this listen
Can a Greek God make Jesse believe in love again?
Jesse's heartache is as vast as the Aegean Sea when his mother's sudden passing lures him back to the Greek island he swore never to return to. With bitterness festering over his mother's abandonment which spiraled his father out of control, Jesses unprepared for the emotional maelstrom awaiting him.
Demetrios, the epitome of a Greek Adonis, still carries the scars of a teenage love affair that once set his small-island life ablaze. Bound to Naxos by duty and drowning his sorrow in fleeting dalliances with tourists, he's blindsided when Jesse, his stepbrother, returns for his mother's funeral.
Jesse grapples with the pain of his mother's choices and Demetrios struggles with the weight of familial expectations. But with each passing moment of Jesses return, their undeniable chemistry reignites, challenging them to confront what happened before their romance crashed and burned.
Sometimes, love arrives when its least expected. But is it too late for Jesse and Demetrios to embrace what they long denied themselves? Or will fear of heartbreak keep them anchored in their past?
Greek God is a stepbrothers-to-lovers, hurt/comfort, second chance MM romance featuring a shy and awkward illustrator who doesn't believe in love and an enigmatic playboy oozing romance.

The character development, descriptions of Greece.
I've read/listened to the previous stories in this series and loved them. There's lots of emotion and some angst in this book. Think star crossed lovers, lots of yearning, rather like a contemporary MM Romeo and Juliet. Demetrius and Jesse have always loved one another, the actions of their selfish (in my opinion), parents keeping them apart. Their love should have been happy from the word go, but they each have their own family tragedy to combat, which causes them to grow apart.
It's a story that deals with real, tragic issues. The love between the two of them is so intense, you just want to reach into the story and help them back on track to their HEA. For me, CF reinforced the point that life is far too precious, treasure it, which is the opinion Jesse and Demetrius eventually reach, it's so beautiful when they finally get together, and be happy. It's a great story, flows well, has characters you'll fall in love with, and a few tearful moments too. The narrator does a marvellous job capturing the emotion of the story, and brought the story to life. Recommended read/listen.
I received an ARC of this story, which in no way influenced my opinion.

MM Greek Island Love
How lucky was I to get an arc copy of this book?
Although this is number 7 in the series, this book can be read as a stand-alone.
I love how CF White writes; you feel immersed in the characters and story. This is true of each of her books. Her characters always have complex backgrounds that pull you in and make you feel that you know these people and have a connection with them.
We first meet Jesse as he prepares to fly to Greece, a journey he is not looking forward to, to say goodbye to his mother.
Demetrios is full of grief but also apprehensive of seeing all the guests who will be arriving in Greece at his taverna to join in mourning his loss.
Brilliant writing, sad in parts that had me in tears. I recommend you read this book and the whole series.
That was where my review ended when I read the book. Now, having listened to the book narrated by Piers Ryman, wow, he brought it to life.
So, it arrived in my Audible account. Did I wait at all? Nope, I listened straight away.
Seriously, I would listen to Piers Ryman read me the washing instructions from a duvet.
Excellent narration, although I did speed him up, but very slightly.
I highly recommend this book, the audio version, and the whole series. Use up your credits today.

Beautiful 2nd chance story full of all the feels
Story: CF White came up with a very emotional premise of reconnecting due to difficult circumstances and wrote a beautiful story on that foundation. The book is full of feels, including complicated ones and it's all very maturely and beautifully written.
I am a huge CF White fan and I absolutely adore the diversity of stories in this series. Each one is unique in its own right and Greek God is no exception. One of my favorites!
Narration: Perfect performance by Pierce Ryman. All the emotions were beautifully amplified by his voice acting skills.
