Summary

A corpse in a garage. A puppy in need of a home. Can man’s best friend help solve a dastardly crime?

When her beloved Mini Cooper breaks down in the countryside, Reverend Annabelle Dixon is forced to make a stop at Mildred’s Garage. But instead of a quick tune-up, she stumbles upon a gruesome surprise....

As luck would have it, Annabelle’s crush, Inspector Mike Nicholls, happens to be visiting her parish on personal business. But those matters are soon pushed aside, as the stalwart detective finds himself entangled in yet another mystery with the kindhearted and tenacious vicar.

Grave in the Garage is the fourth in a furiously fast-paced, funny new series featuring a young female vicar whose passion and dedication to her parish are matched only by her weakness for cake.

If you like quaint English towns, fun and colourful characters, a strong, yet compassionate female lead, and a hint of romance, then you’ll love Alison Golden’s deliciously humorous storytelling.

**This series of audiobooks are clean cozy mysteries that contain no swearing or graphic descriptions of violence or bedroom activities.**

Full steam ahead for a good book

I enjoyed this charming small town mystery and with the case anything but small it kept me hooked until the end. This is the fourth book in the series and although they are can be read or listened to in any order and are standalone mysteries, I would recommend that you sit back and enjoy them all. The stories are not that long but the author certainly packs a lot in, including lots of clues, so like Annabelle you can try to work out the killer and the reason ( I failed, I had no clue and was still working it out). I really like the characters and think Annabelle makes for a great main character like able and caring. She also has the perfect reason to be talking to the villagers and gathering clues, unlike in some cozys were the characters just seen nosy. I liked the introduction of the puppies and hope they will be returning to help in other cases.
With donations to the churches funds down the last thing Reverend Annabelle Dixon needs is for her reliable mini Cooper to brake down. So when it does there is only one place to take it too. However when Annabelle arrives at the garage it is to find the owner dead and her two employees missing. The mechanic was a friend and knowing her employees Annabelle is reluctant to believe the worst. Especially with a lot of strangers in town with questionable pasts and the men folk acting secretive. Can Annabelle help the police find out what is going on, catch a killer and find him the perfect companion? Puppies are hard to resist especially when they can help you solve the case.
I like the narrator. With this being book four her voice has really grown on me and I can't imagine anybody else in the roll.
