Slow starter
Took a while to get into the story
Liked the character Cara and the relationship between John and cara.
Nearly gave up and the beginning found it boring

Good story based on true story
I would have enjoyed this more but I hadn't realised it was based in true story I just happened to have listened to on true crime podcast a few months earlier. Because of this I knew all of the plot within the first chapter so the twists were spoilt a little for me. There are parts of the story that were changed which I felt a little unnecessary as it made it too fictional. The true story is 'unbelievable' enough to make a good novel. But overall this book is well-written and performed well.
