Summary

People who have read my books, particularly “The War of Art” and its cousins, have a vague idea of the odyssey of a particular solitary guy, wracked with guilt and riven by self-doubt, as he struggles toward his destiny as a writer. But they have only the scantiest conception of the particulars of that journey.

These particulars I’m hoping may be of use to others as they wrestle with their own version of that same odyssey.

So let me try to strip it down.

Let me tell the parts I normally leave out.

Wonderful journey

I deeply appreciated to listen and travel along with the author. The journey appeared to be from outward in, a special and unique experience now shared with us. Highly recommended.

the most sincere and honest book I have read

loved it, Stephen gives you a truthful and in depth account of his life and I envy his grit and passion for writing. I recommend this book to anyone who has a dream of accomplishing anything as it shows the effort that is needed when pursuing your dreams. The book has made me feel more confident that in time I too will fulfill my dreams.

ps Stephen would love to meet you some day if your ever in Northern Ireland 🙂

Keep going

He told me to keep going and always left me wanting more.

That was the running theme of this book, where some chapters were subtle in the message, but others were proper in your face.

Keep going! A simple instruction, but sometimes so difficult to do, but for me, it was the instruction I needed to hear from this humans abundant experience in life that got splashed in the pages.

Although Stevens words of “keep going”could have easily come out of my mouth when I talk to my clients, the same words were foreign when I would internally speak them and try to apply them to my actions.

Has this book given me an an opportunity to lean a new language? Yes.
The language of belief.

I don’t know how much this dude charges for mentorship, but the price of a coupe of Coffees from Costa Coffee to get a mentors life story that will catapult your intention for self improvement and development is a no brainer of an investment.

Chapter 57 punched me in the face, and I was happy I didn’t defend to feel the needed hammer blow.

If Carlsberg did authors, Steven would probably be the best author in the world.
