About this listen
What would you do if you knew your world was about to end?
After science confirms the impending doom of planet A672E92 Quintus, it falls to a team of negotiators to end the blood feuds between the two space-faring houses of Cashmarie and Xing-li. If they fail, every man, woman, and child will most certainly die.
As war rages on, two delegates assigned to the peace talks find romance tinged with the supernatural in a relationship that will make them the stuff of legends as they strive to say good-bye to A672E92 Quintus and set out in search of their new home: planet Beinan.

Needs more descriptions, but otherwise excellent
This was a really enjoyable read, with a fascinating plot concept, and some wonderful characters. I would have liked a bit more in the way of descriptions - something the author seems to use sparingly - since it would have helped me to immerse myself in the story and world better, but it was an otherwise excellent read - or listen - which made me want to read the other books in the series. Also, the narrator did an extremely good job, and was pleasant to listen to.

I think there’s a series somewhere...
This is an interesting recounting of an event: the departure of a people from their world. There is little drama, little plot and a lot of gaps. Characters change over a period of 25 years? But it’s also introducing a lot of time keeping that you have to figure out.
I think it reads like a prequel to a series... background on characters you already know and love.

Good little novella
A very original book. On the whole well written but probably due to the size of the book would have loved some more descriptions of the people and the places. You feel that you dived into the middle of a book. Not often I wish for more exposition but a bit more flesh on the characters would have definitely assisted with enjoying the story more. The date system I initially found rather annoying, but it has grown on me.
Narration was great, very clear and distinct. Easy to follow the different characters.

don't bother
A hotchpotch of genres with no plot and confusing characters. Think Game of Thrones meets star trek, with psychic abilities. And what civilization in its right mind would name its home star A672E92 Quintus. Why not just Quintus? Narration adequate. He tried his best with the story, but no distinction between female characters.
