I’ve loved Terry Pratchett novels for years but only recently heard of this and wasn’t quite sure. It’s marvellous— the storyline, the humour, the humanity and the performances. I will be listening again.
Edit: After listening to this I watched Good Omens on Prime and it is absolutely faithful to the book. Quite brilliant.

The plot is a very good, enjoyable, and interesting one, as always, though its social observations are getting a little dated by this point, 30+ years post-publication.

It's a delight to have Sheen and Tennant narrating the original dialogue of Aziraphale and Crowley, of course, and there are several talented members among the cast of this version of the audiobook. Sadly, there are also a couple of duff ones, and the narrator isn't as good as she could be.

I still believe anybody who's going to narrate for audiobook should be allowed to read it before they record it, and director and/or producer should listen to the recordings before its all finalised and sent out. If they did that, it might finally eradicate pronunciation errors in context or with unfamiliar words. Those are my bugbear where audiobooks are concerned.

Oh well. It's still a good enough version that I'm likely to keep it! 4.75 stars to the text and 3.5 to the performance, both rounded up, and a 4 star rating overall. Definitely worth it if you're new to the book.
