About this listen
Abstract theology is overrated, for God can be found in even the most ordinary of things.
Jesus used things like a lily, sparrow, and sheep to teach about the kingdom of God. And in the Old Testament, God repeatedly describes himself and his saving work in relation to physical things such as a rock, horn, or eagle.
In God of All Things, pastor and author Andrew Wilson invites you to rediscover God in this way, too - through ordinary, everyday things. He explores the idea of a material world and presents a variety of created marvels that reveal the gospel in everyday life and fuel worship and joy in God - marvels like:
- Dust: the image of God
- Horns: the salvation of God
- Donkeys: the peace of God
- Water: the life of God
- Viruses: the problem of God
- Cities: the kingdom of God
God of All Things will leave you with a deeper understanding of Scripture, the world you live in, and the God who made it all.

Showing me God in the everyday
loved this book.
I don't have a lot of time to read and meditate on the Bible, but I do spend a lot of time in parks looking at trees, and at the table trying to feed people bread. This book does a wonderful job of helping me to meet God in those places, explaining the themes that run through the Bible.
The kind of theology that this book explains takes time and attention - I'm so thankful that Andrew Wilson took that time and attention so that I could listen to this book in tiny, broken, inattentive, distracted moments. I am richer for it.

Fantastic listen
I'm grateful for this book which will help me remember our God and worship him for the things around us. I'll be using the chapter on wind to teach my children about what God is like. Thank you.

Great book so worth hearing.
Informative, encouraging, stimulating, eye-opening. One great quote: our understanding “marinated in Scripture.” Leads to a greater appreciation and wonder of God - and praise of him.

Excellent book on symbolism of every day objects
I loved this book. Each little chapter was a gem of biblical truths, demonstrated clearly (and humourously at times) , through everyday 'things' that we see or interact with. These 'things' are themes that can be traced throughout the bible, pointing to wonderful truths about God and his ways.

Fun, different and thought-provoking
I've not read a book with chapters titled 'pigs', 'earthquakes', 'viruses' etc. but somehow after listening to this it seems all my life I've missed out on a biblical theology of donkeys (among other things)! - this book is thoroughly Christ honouring, fun, fresh and has lifted my eyes up to see the God of everything, even the mundane. Andrew has a gift of communicating deep concepts clearly with humour and grace.
