About this listen
I am so sick of secrets.
Determined to fulfill my destined role, I push past my emotional trials only to learn those who should be guiding me have held back a secret that could ruin all of our lives. None of my choices offer the certainty I seek, but I'll have to live with the consequences...and so will those I love.
Will my time at Larkspur end in triumph or tragedy?

A glowing end
I want to say I enjoyed this book but when I went to write my review and read that it was the final book in the series I felt like 'What?' How can it be the end? with so many questions or explanations left unanswered or did I sleep through the story and missed them? You definitely need to have read or listened to the previous books to understand what is going on (and to be totally honest I still don't know what was going on). Which is a shame because up until now I was enjoying the series, as it is very unusual and mysterious plot. I liked the characters, which is a lot but the author doesn't go into much past history about the characters hence the need to have read the previous books. She does mention previous incidents which is still affecting the students and I had forgotten about. The situation caused by the missing words in the book wasn't very obvious and I had no clue what famous book it was.
Morale at the school is at an all time low after the death of one of the students but it is about to get a whole lot worse for the spellbinder. A new book has lost it's words and is causing havoc on the school but for Mina the greater threat is the secret her uncle has been hiding from her. At the end of six months unless all the books in the library have there words, every member touched by a book will forget everybody they love. Her uncle has his own curse to worry about and as time draws close to the end for both of them will Mina finally learn the secrets she needs to help them.
I liked the narrator. She was the reason I started listening to this series in the first place.

Final in series
This book is the final in the series. You get some closure on some points but not on others as I would hope. There is more emotional content in this book and definitely moments you feel in your chest.
