The most annoying narrator ever
I rarely wish that I had brought a paper copy instead of an audio - but in this case I do! The actual content of the book is good and it is well written but my goodness the robotic voice is sooo irritating

A bumper packed collection of short stories
I absolutely adore short story collections like this . There are so many included within this collection that there will be something to appeal to every reader. Whilst I enjoyed some more than others all were highly enjoyable and well written. Although the book states that all stories are completely true I will always be sceptical but either way each story had me interested. I was given this book by the author/narrator in return for an honest and unbiased review

very not bad
Stories were a little short and under detailed in the first book with the narrators voice a little high pitched for this genre. Tge second book was more well rounded. overall, both books left me with a little on my mind, so job done! :) ideal for a Halloween read!

Dreadful Reader
Content wording a tad over dramatic, with the word "allegedly", used way too many times for what are meant to be TRUE ghost sighting accounts.
The reader has zero emotion while explaining the different stories. Quite monotone and dry. I wish I'd sampled the book first before wasting a credit on it.

Really terrible narration
I gave the story 3 stars as it could be good but unfortunately I couldn't make it more than half an hour into the book as it sounds like it's being read by a Sat Nav. It has the same timbre as a nervous 7 year old boy reading aloud in class. It seems to be read by some sort of AI. If this is the case, judging by the quality of the narration we don't have to worry about AI taking over the world for a while yet. €7.99 down the drain, don't make the mistake of buying it!

Not good, I'm afraid.
I found both books in the boxset to be fairly run of the mill. The narration in the first book was truly awful, with poor inflection and bizarre pronunciations to say the least. The narrator's voice wasn't in keeping with the subject matter, either - it would be better suited to a young child's book. The narration in the second book was markedly better, but still not great. Overall, I found this to be more of a chore to get through, rather than an audio book to enjoy.

Is it a computer narrating this?
I really love ghost stories and this collection is quite a good selection of stories but the man narrating really ruins it, it sounds stilted, like a computer generated voice or as though the person is learning to read and sounding out the words, syllable by syllable, so the sentences sound very "flat".... there are lots of parts where the narrator should pause but doesn't, and there are pauses where there shouldn't be any, some sentences don't make sense and stories lose suspense due to the lack of inflection and the monotone voice. I have heard some of these stories in other anthologies so was thankfully able to skip some chapters and fell asleep through others. I really tried to finish the book but unfortunately couldn't due to the narrators awful reading.
