Summary
If you want to have a happier, healthier, and more fun senior life...then keep listening!
For many of us seniors, life can become boring, lonely, and unfulfilling. We live with the aches and pains of aging and loss of friends, relatives, and significant others.
For some, this can be a downward spiral of depression and unhappiness. For others it's just a feeling that you have little to look forward to and that life is slowing down and monotonously coming to an end. Really sort of depressing.
Mr. Pace wrote this book at age 72 because he saw too many of his friends and acquaintances falling into the above scenario and thought their must be many of the "Baby Boomer" generation in the same boat. After training in the martial arts for more than 50 years and owning several business along the way he had a totally different outlook on life. Maybe it was the self-discipline he developed along the way or his constant goal to stay fit and healthy, but he always felt better days were ahead. His goal in writing this book was to share some ideas that could really change and improve the life of his contemporaries.
In this book, in simple, plain English, you will discover:
- A volume of great ideas to improve your health and fitness.
- A plethora of ideas to expand your horizons and make senior living fun.
- How to control your weight and increase your energy.
- Methods of living that will help you continue to grow personally and stay relevant.
- Great ideas for senior exercise and fitness including his personal regime.
- Baby boomer strategies for dealing with wills, trusts, and other financial issues.
- Simple ideas to deal with family and relationship problems that seniors face.
- How to avoid becoming a “dinosaur” and stay up with modern technology.

Thoughtful, Useful, and Valuable
In this wonderfully produced audiobook, the narrator offers practical advice and strategies to live life to the fullest as a senior - I really enjoyed these ideas!
I've made a checklist of things to do. Yes, it's written for seniors, but the ideas within are still valuable for younger folks too - Highly Recommend!

Aging Gracefully
As we are aging we certainly don't want to do so like so many people we see. Michael Pace has written a great book and Chris McKenna narrates it expertly. In fact the narration is so good that it allowed us to take notes on the plethora of ideas in the book with little to no rewinding or pausing. We loved that!!!
While not baby boomers we are in our 50's, almost empty nesters and staring down the monotony of everyday life without kids. This book showed us that the correlation between physical and mental health is such an important thing. But most importantly for us the section of the book about wills/trusts etc. got us off our behinds to do something we had talked about for years and never got going.
There is so much solid information in this book we highly recommend it. Relationship thoughts, not becoming a dinosaur technologically, health and fitness and so much else. We really enjoyed this book

Things you can’t miss as you age
Thankful I came across this book as it contains a lot of wisdom about each area of life that you’ll want to take care of and optimize to live longer and be healthier.
I felt like the way the author explained each area made me want to listen and implement the pieces of each chapter (which I won’t give away here - you’ll have to listen to find out), and I found a respect for them. I would highly recommend this book to anyone.

Getting old doesn't have to suck
As a person in my mid 50s I can tell things are not as easy as they used to be. I appreciate this book acknowledged that we won't feel 20 again but that by taking care of ourselves we can feel well and still be mobile. I have always wanted to try Tai Chi and the author does a great job explaining the possible benefit to balance, strength and cognition. Other suggestions for proper sleep habits and adding vitamin supplements are excellent as well.

Easy to follow checklist
This book is like a checklist of things you really need to start doing/prioritizing as you get older. My mom will be 65 this year so I wanted to get her a book of something easy to follow to help her start working towards making sure that she is truly taking care of herself as she ages. I got the book as I wanted to see what it was like and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The author makes it easy to follow and and makes the list simple and concise. There are explanations that go along with each topic. You can tell the author is truly writing from their own perspective which makes it easier to connect with him. Having a book like this for each milestone in our lives would be extremely helpful. We are all so busy so having a concise list would help keep us on track to age gracefully. Great book to listen to!

Well written awareness
I, I guess like other men, don’t usually think about our health much until it’s too late. I’m guilty of this. I was not even looking for a book like this. It came up out of nowhere on Amazon and decided to listen to the audiobook. VERY well detailed information on how to prepare for the elderly age, the check ups your need to consider, and exercises that will help you keep going once you reach the age. My mother and I were talking about how I need to consider a check up and this audiobook verified that. I’m thankful!
