Summary

Good and bad things seem to be coming in threes for Kinsey Millhone: on her 33rd birthday she moves back into her renovated apartment, gets hired to find an elderly lady supposedly living in the Mojave Desert by herself, and makes the top of ex-con Tyrone Patty's hit list. It's the last that convinces Kinsey even she can't handle whoever's been hired to whack her, and she gets herself a bodyguard: Robert Dietz, a Porsche-driving P.I. who takes guarding Kinsey's body very seriously. A MUDER BYOND COMPARE

Yet another brilliant audiobook by Sue Grafton. Read by Judy Kaye, each book follows her story of Kinsey, a Private Eye whose own life runs through from A to V . Every book a refreashing new start, to a nail biteing end.

Not quite as good as previous ones

Not quite as good as the previous books in the series, but still good and couldn't stop listening. I love Kinsey's attitude and hearing her thoughts on people. This really should be made into a TV series, but kept of the time - without mobile phones etc.

Good story

Quite a light hearted murder tale, not too taxing but worth a listen. Sometimes it is nice just to have a story that doesn't get you keyed up and stressed. This is one of those novels, I enjoyed it, the characters are likeable and the plot was quite clever.

Nearly perfect - below par audio quality

Love this series and very good narrator. The only flaw is the audio quality. It sounds as if the narration has been transferred from different media, with the result that the sound verrs on woolly and you have to ramp the volume up more than usual. Entirely tolerable just noticeably not the usual Audible quality.
