Ok but not brilliant
I thought this storyline was good, if maybe a bit far fetched, but the writing was clumsy and a bit juvenile in parts. It was easy enough listening but not as slick as it could have been.

A well written story with a believable twist!
A good story. Well planned out. I know that the story was centred around the missing toddler but I felt that a little too much was made of the parents angst. At times I wanted them to get on with the story. Other than that, it was all good!

Hmmm.... not the best book
Any additional comments?
It was Ok. Not the best book I have listened too, and certainly not the worst. There were some plot holes that you could drive a bus through (the actual kidnap for one!), but there were also some twists that I didnt see coming!I did keep 'zoning out', and to be honest, I finished it about 2 weeks ago and as I scrolled through my library to see what book to listen to next, I thought "Oh, did I read that?" and had trouble to recall the story - It clearly didnt make a huge impact on me! No I do recall it though and to be honest I wouldn't actively seek out more book by this author.

brilliant
A parents worst nightmare, their child going missing from their own home. The story flowed easily and I found myself listening long after I should've switched off. Definitely try book 2 in the series.

Excellent!
I thoroughly enjoyed listening to From The Cradle. It's a gripping story with plenty of shocks and surprises along the way. Full of emotion and suspense. I think the narrator did a good job portraying the characters too. I love Mark Edwards' books, but this was my first of his written with Louise Voss. I highly recommend!
