Beautifully written with diverse ideas and tips to support a healthier and happier life.
Over my 57 years I have acquired lots of useful information to support me living a healthy, happy and fulfilled life. This book provides a beautiful summary of lots of these. Practical, positive and a priority read not only for people with chronic fatigue but I would also recommend to all young adults as they continue their journey in life.

Simple advice, told in a different way
The author takes a different approach in covering chronic fatigue syndrome recovery.
She knows from experience that listeners (or readers) don’t have the capacity for anything too complicated, and so she creates a story about a character who is trying to reach the summit of a mountain.
Along the way, she meets different people who offer up some wisdom on how she can continue to move with energy (in the form of marbles), and inform her of where she is going wrong.
Some of the advice is obvious and has been covered to death elsewhere (I.e. drink more water, and take slow breaths), but the majority of the advice revolves around nutrition.
For me, this is good timing because I have been struggling more than ever (after living with fatigue my whole adult life - I am now almost 34). A lot of this could probably be put down to a sugar addiction (as well as overworking and not letting myself rest) as food has felt like my only source of joy a lot of the time. Processed food is not really food at all, and this book reminds us of that without being overbearing or too focused on heavy science (which my brain can’t deal with at the moment).
The author does also focus on the importance of a positive and willing mindset.
There isn’t anything magical or secret within the book, but it might help you get back on track if you’ve been neglecting self-care.
I wasn’t a fan of the author’s narration, as her voice grated on me and some of her writing was… well, a bit cringe-inducing.
Overall though, this is a good reminder that we should not allow ourselves to wallow in despair. Whilst not everybody with a bad diet or negative mindset will fall victim to chronic fatigue syndrome, we have to really look after ourselves once we have fallen ill.
