Summary
Despite her broken heart, when Dilly Gently joins Magnus Olensen's new band, the chemistry between them is explosive. Both impossibly romantic dizzy blondes with the souls of poets, they could be made for each other. But before they have chance to declare themselves, Dilly's friend Nell confides that she has a huge crush on Magnus, and Dilly nobly steps down in order to play reluctant matchmaker.
Nell returns the favour by setting her friend up with her dashing twin brother Flipper. But Flipper the bounder is not a good rebound for a true romantic. He hides a secret that could break Dilly's heart all over again.

Disappointing
Would you try another book written by Fiona Walker or narrated by Lucy Scott?
I have read other books by this author, but this one was very disappointing. The main characters behave like spoilt children, have no substance, and I had no interest by the end of the book whether it had a happy ending or not. The story felt disjointed, and all the characters' silly names were just confusing and annoying, even though I have read other Oddlode series books. The narrator did a good job with a poor story.
Would you ever listen to anything by Fiona Walker again?
Probably not after this one.
Which scene did you most enjoy?
None springs to mind.
Do you think Four Play needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
No. I wouldn't be interested in knowing what happens to the characters in this book.
Any additional comments?
I can't imagine many people over 20 enjoying this book.

An odd note in the series...
...because it overlaps with Tongue in Cheek, without acknowledging it and isn't t helped by two deeply unpleasant main characters. As for the reader - all the women either drawl or squeak and the men sound the same as each other too. Shame, but it's not the best

What happened...
Would you try another book written by Fiona Walker or narrated by Lucy Scott?
The inconsistent narration to the previous book bemuses me, what happened to Anke's accent, Tongue in Cheek she has a soft Danish lilt, Four Play she sounds like a German goat herder, horrid.
What could Fiona Walker have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
Please keep constancy with the narrators if you have characters in multiple books, you lose the charm.
Who might you have cast as narrator instead of Lucy Scott?
Beth Chalmers
What character would you cut from Four Play?
None

Slightly disappointing
Gutted about the change of narrator. Personally I felt the narrator of the previous lode books captured the characters better. Nells voice is positively annoying. Also couldn't relate to these characters or srory like previous books which I loved. Just disappointed. Would happily listen to another book narrated by lucy just didn't suit this one.
