About this listen
New Zealand, 1866: the gold rush is on. Left to fend for herself, Lady Guinevere Stanhope is determined to do whatever it takes to rescue her ancestral home.
Forced out of his native Ireland, Quinn O’Donnell dreams of striking gold. When a flash flood hits, Quinn is compelled to rescue Guinevere.
Will they realise in time that all that glitters is not gold? Though a most inconvenient attraction forms between them, both remain determined to pursue their dreams whatever the cost.

Scarlett Mack is an excellent narrator. A very versatile range of voices and accents. Each character is clearly recognisable when she narrates a story.

A lively tale full of fun and romance Dont miss it
What did you like most about Fool's Gold?
The characters are a lot of fun - the plot full of interest and twists and turns. This is beautifully read. Zana Bell writes great books and this is a goodie.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Fool's Gold?
The dinner scene where the lady and the poor boy switch roles.
What about Scarlett Mack’s performance did you like?
The lilting Irish voice for Quinn - what a lovable character.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Absolutely. And I have come back to it and re-listened to it.
Any additional comments?
It isn't just the main characters that are so likeable, the other characters are very well drawn to. The imagery is vivid - listening to it was almost like watching a movie. One of those books that leave you feeling satisfied and better for having read it.
