About this listen
What if I were to tell you that a psychopathic arsonist might also be the person most likely to save you from a burning building? This book is about a special kind of persuasion: 'flipnosis'. It has an incubation period of just seconds and can instantly disarm even the most discerning mind.
Flipnosis is black-belt mind control. It doesn't just turn the tables; it kicks them over.

Great narration of compelling subject
Kevin Dutton has a great way with words and David Timson’s unfaltering delivery does them credit.
A mind-boggling saunter through the ways in which our minds anticipate what is coming and how that can be piggy-backed to help the acceptance of a non sequitur
I’m not sure if the book was exactly what I was expecting but I’m happy with it all the same - is that flipnosis in action?

Interesting book and would benefit from more practical guidance
A very interesting book with a number of funny anecdotes. Outlines a very interesting model of persuasion- it would be great to have more practical and detailed guidance on how to apply the model to everyday typical challenges

Have you been Flipnotised?
Having enjoyed the collaboration of Kev Dutton and Andy McNab in which Flipnosis is referred to many times I thought it would be worth a try. Nothing really that different in here. If you have enjoyed the Good Psychopaths Guide to Success - don’t bother with this one. Many of the same stories, anecdotes and examples. A great collection of other people’s research but little new.
The narrators need to put on accents when during examples and anecdotes is also a little wearing.

Not Dr Kevin Dutton's best audiobook
The narration is not as good as the books read by the author Dr Kevin Dutton.
The material itself is alright; but ,for me , Dr Dutton's work with Andy McNab is the gold.

Nice
Very good book but I wish it was easier to comprehend. He starts with an example but doesn’t explain it leaving the listener to figure it out. Hard to connect the dots.

have I read this before
this book was a great source of knowledge. some if not many of the ideas detailed here, although slightly different, I came across in the "Thinking Fast and Slow” by Daniel Kahneman.
both are great books

Fascinating listening
brilliant book, well written and David Timson is always good to listen to. Lots of small stories throughout that are very much to the point of the main topic
