Who, What, Why.
Rachel Ford imagination and penmanship is one of a kind.
How the authors managed to get so much in such a short book is beyond me but they have done it beautifully twisting catching you totally unprepared.
Short but can grow easily into an amazing series.
Every character gets narrated by Barbara Rich.

Surprising
This book covers a mission to recover and destroy the research facility on a planet that had been destroyed by the Empire. It involves a special team and in addition a reporter.
The story is decent and builds to a really surprising ending. The down side is that the narrator has some really squeaky nasal sounds for some of the characters that is very distracting and makes it hard to follow the story line.

Uninteresting
Unfortunately I couldn’t finish this book.
The military story was uninteresting and lacked any innovation with the story structure and plot. I’m a big fan of the genre but this was frankly nothing special...

Short story that keeps you guessing
This is a short story based on alternate universe's and different species, it was a fun listen and kept me interested. There was some information about the different species and enough background information on the main characters to give you some insight into them and to want to know what happens to them. There is an element of feeling like you're kept guessing about what the real mission is and this brings some depth to the story.
Overall this is an easy quick listen, with a bit of a twist which keeps your attention.
