An easy read, with some key messages

I enjoyed the book, but I did have multiple breaks and some of the information was repeated. I look forward to checking out the Facebook and website information.

Excellent, Powerful Motivational Strategies

This is a gem of a book. Powerful yet easy-to-execute strategies explained in a straightforward way. Utterly unpretentious, unlike some motivational books out there. Instead of promising great results for little work, Jim makes it clear that those results ARE possible only with consistent discipline. What is wonderful about this book is that it offers the effective strategies for the absolute self-empowerment needed to gain this consistent discipline. Worth far, far more than the modest price tag. I'm ready to go for it, Jim!

Helped me get my focus

I've listened to this a couple of times over, I was looking for something to help me get my focus and quite honestly the stories about the gym goers is really relatable but I continually think about the second brother...it really struck a cord and helps me get my training in daily!

Highly recommend

Really enjoyed this book, listened to it one afternoon. Matt Addis was easy to listen to. Good stories and life experiences described from James and not being from that much of a physical background myself i fully agree it's best to plan and organise your time and activities to keep the momentum. Just downloaded the planner and making the most of this evening to fill those in for the coming weeks and really put James' points in to place, feel more confident and motivated about my fitness development than i have done in a very long time. Great read for anyone looking to make a realistic start to their fitness goals.

A very enjoyable read

A short book that gets straight to the crux of the matter. I turned to this book looking for motivation to get back into my exercise routine and it’s certainly done that. With thought provoking stories and helpful mindset and practical advice I’d absolutely recommend this book as well worth a listen. Thanks Jim!

It’s really just a mental problem

In short, my takeaway thought is that you can’t just “wing” training and turn up when you find it convenient. Those moments never really turn up.

Instead, make it a schedule and plan for it the day before. Mentally prepare for it beforehand

Getting started and getting motivated start here

I have just finished listening to this audio book and found it extremely motivational and the kick up the butt to get me started, some excellent useful tips too. Its not preachy like some other exercise and weight loss books can be. Jim applies it to your everyday living and with his own stories he inspires. Working on my plan today, good luck everyone on getting started by listening to this book x

Loved it!!

This is so well written and read.

James has struggled himself in the past and has captured the minute detail of why people can fail.
This detail is what I needed. It is so deep and insightful that I have the new knowledge etched in my mitochondria forever.

The though process is everything to me and he nailed it. So important for my motivation

Will be looking to buy another one of his books as he is so down to earth and humble and my type of person.

Now watching him on YouTube and he is such a likeable character and wish him every success.
Please go to YouTube and give him a thumbs up as would like more people to listen to him as he is so very different from other personal trainers. Unique and inspirational.

great book

i wandered what i was listening to at first! i had been searching for a fitness book to listen too and saw this. didnt know what to expect. i have been listening to brian keane fitness who is also fab and does regular podcasts which i love to listen to.
i cant remember how jim came up but he certainly resonated with me. and by then end of the story, i say story, because he takes you on a motivational chat about real life happenings.
by the end of the stories i was reaching for his website to dowmload his charts for planning my own succes, i know i will achieve now
