Summary

What made this so flat?

I have been wondering while listening why I did not get immersed in this story. We have alcohol abuse, divorce, the press, stress for being traded, new collegues, and anxiety issues. Don't ask me who suffered from what because I could not tell the main characters apart. They often state baseball is dull. Add to that a narrator who is adequate but no performer. All this together made listening an OK way to spend an afternoon, but nothing memorable.
