About this listen
Fiona Barton, once a senior journalist for national newspapers, achieved great success in 2016 with her debut psychological thriller The Widow, which was published in 36 countries, made the Sunday Times and New York Times best seller lists and even warranted a recommendation from Stephen King.
Fiona visits the Audible Studios for the second time to tell us about her latest novel The Child, narrated by Clare Corbett, Adjoa Andoh, Finty Williams and Fenella Woolgar, in which the journalist Kate Waters is back to investigate the truth behind another compelling mystery.

BRILLIANT INTERVIEW
I thoroughly enjoyed the interview with Fiona Barton. I love Fiona Barton's writing. Her books are brilliant. She does not do slow burn. She grabs you from the opening sentence and doesn't let go until the end. In addition, the narrator Claire Corbet is superb and brings the story to life. Having listened to all of her books, it was interesting to learn why she became a novelist and how she comes up with the ideas for her stories.
